Peanut butter + shrooms question, plus my recipe for chocolate peanut butter mushroom squares

Aloha, friends. Question: is there any reason why shrooms in peanut butter would be way stronger than just an ordinary lemon/citrus tek? Would the peanut butter help in the absorption or bioavailability somehow?
I’m asking, because I usually do really, really high doses of mushrooms when I trip, like 12 – 15 grams, because smaller doses don’t seem to affect me as much as other people. Then I made some milk chocolate peanut butter mushroom squares with two grams of mushroom powder in each for a friend and me to eat when we were at the museum the other day. He ate one square, and I gobbled up the other three squares (6 grams) thinking that this would just be a fun, easy, moderate trip based on my past experience.
I was not expecting to get kung fu punched in the balls. That has just never been the way my body works with mushrooms.
That six gram trip in the museum was amazing, beautiful, surprising, and sooooo intense. Like, wtf brain? Why this sensitivity now???
I never tried mushrooms in peanut butter, so I’m wondering if there’s something in the peanut butter that could have increased the absorption somehow? That’s the only thing I can think of that I did differently in the preparation that I’ve never done before.
The only other thing I can think of is that I ate mushrooms in a place where I’ve never eaten them before (the museum), even though I’ve been there a thousand times, and it’s one of my favorite places. I usually trip at home alone, or at the beach under the stars. But even taking really high doses at the beach is normally a really chill experience.
Anyway, if you wanna try my experimental chocolate peanut butter squares, here’s my recipe. I use a 40-square silicone mold that I got on Amazon.
Per 1 square: 7 grams natural peanut butter 2 grams mushrooms Enough (dark/milk/white) chocolate to coat the mold and cover the backs of each square Gram scale
Per 40 squares: 280 grams natural peanut butter 80 grams mushrooms Enough (dark/milk/white) chocolate to coat the mold and cover the backs of each square Gram scale
1. Stir the peanut butter well, then weigh it out into a glass bowl. 2. Grind the mushrooms to a fine powder in a coffee grinder, then add to the peanut butter. 3. Mix well, so that the mushroom powder is evenly distributed throughout the peanut butter. 4. Put the peanut butter mushroom mix in the refrigerator to harden up while you work on the next step. 5. Using a double-boiler/bain marine or the microwave, slowly melt approximately 70 percent of the chocolate. When it’s nearly completely, but not fully, melted, remove from the heat, and add the remaining chocolate, and stir until all the chocolate is fully melted. 6. Using a spoon, add just enough chocolate to each square in the mold to coat that square. You will probably need to use your finger to spread it out. 7. Once all the squares are coated, put the mold in the fridge or freezer while you work on the next step. 8. Take the hardened peanut butter mushroom mix out of the fridge, and weigh out 9 grams of the mix per square. (I made little balls.) 9. Once the chocolate coating has hardened, squish one ball of the peanut butter mushrooms into each square. 10. Using the remaining chocolate, cover the backs of each square. 11. Put the mold back into the fridge or freezer for a few hours until fully hardened. 12. When you’re ready, just pop out the desired squares and gobble them up. 🍄

Eh, I would be more inclined to wonder about the genetic variation of the different mushroom batches.
But, Staying with your train of thought, I would look into digestive issues.
Do you have known digestion issues? What various consumption methods have your tried before? Do other drugs also not seem to affect you as much as other people?

I mean, I wasn't passed out on the floor or anything. The galleries were swimmy, and the headdress of an ancient Egyptian bust seemed to be sheer, as though I could see through it. The images in a particularly beautiful series of stained glass windows seemed to flow and pulsate with an inner light, while the echoing sounds in the galleries were remarkable. In the Asian art wing, statues of bodhisattvas (any relation to you?) appeared to breathe and move, and more than anything, I found it fascinating. I was slightly nauseous, but not a lot, and it was necessary to sit down for a few minutes from time to time, yet at no time did I feel out of control—just a little confused as to why all of a sudden psilocybin was affecting me like this? If I'd thought that six grams of mushrooms would be so strong, I would have only eaten one chocolate. This reaction was totally unexpected for me, because I'm not bullshitting anyone when I say that I regularly consume very high doses. I wish I were, but I've tried so many different ways to potentiate the effects of psilocybin, with only minor occasional success—soaking shrooms in DMSO helps, as do harmala alkaloids, but even then it's not such a huge departure from what I'm used to. I wondered if the lipids in the peanut butter were maybe transporting the active molecules somehow. I have no idea, but I plan on repeating the experiment later. Would be amazing if I've stumbled on something that would mean I don't have to use so many mushrooms in one sitting.

Maybe it was genetics. These were homegrown Golden Teachers. I don't have any known digestive issues. Typically, I do a citrus tek with either lemon juice, grapefruit juice, or orange juice. Sometimes I make chocolate bars to change it up. I've tried DMSO to increase the absorption, or harmalas to inactivate my stomach enzymes, but always with questionable success. The answer, for me, has always been to increase the amount of mushrooms. I've tripped often enough to know how my body reacts.
I seem to need a little more LSD than normal to have a good trip when I drop acid. But I'm not so fond of LSD, tbh, because it's so stimulating, which I dislike. A few times I've tried oral DMT with some harmalas to make it orally active. Sixty+ milligrams with ~170 milligrams of harmalas is a recipe to barf followed by 30 - 45 of a weak psychedelic experience before it fades away. Cannabis seems to affect me the same as it affects other people.

I want to. Sometimes I grow regular penis envy. Seems to be about twice as potent as regular cubes for me. I keep looking for Pan cyans growing here on Hawai‘i Island, since I've never been successful at cultivating them, but I haven't found them yet.
