You add what to your kombucha during fermentation?
DMT? Tyramine?

Tyramine is a natural MAOI byproduct of the fermentation process of kombucha. I add the DMT at the second ferment. Let it sit 3 days. More or less seems to be a little less.

Tyramine is not a MAOI....Monoamine oxidase is what metabolizes & breaks down tyramine though.
Why do you add DMT to your kombucha, like what purpose or use does it have in kombucha? How much do you add and what form is it in?
Does it not mess up the flavor/essence of the kombucha? DMT can have a pretty pungent & funky essence, that's not a flavor I would want in something I'm trying to enjoy lol.
Just curious about it...I've never heard of people adding DMT to kombucha lol.

Oh that’s right I figured the enzymes would be busy breaking down the tyramine and would be locked up unable to break down the deems. It’s been a minute since I geeked out on it. I was on another level for a minute. Mind was on overdrive... my dad said I’d burn out. The stuff came from an acid base extraction. So not sure if that means it’s salts or whatever. Powder. It actually makes for a really nice Kombucha. Adds extra carbonation with tons of tiny bubbles. I’d say the flavor was more along the lines of a fine aged champagne compared to a fake co2 added big bubble beer.
My thinking was every living thing has mitochondria. Also every living things contains DMT. I figured that either mitochondrion use DMT within the electron transport chain or at least it was a byproduct. So I figured the yeast would thrive with a little extra fuel. I never weighed anything just put what I figured was a good dose in every 12 oz bottle. The first round I let it sit 2-3 days and I was definitely elevated. I added some and ages it longer and it seemed to be overdone pretty quick.
I feel like the first batch gave me That high energy manic mind race make connections kind of high. Not a breakthrough but more along the lines of feeding my mitochondrion, and feeling that ecstatic rush of life. I think DMT should be eaten. I don’t think it matters if it passes through the blood brain barrier. I think absorbing it and letting it nourish your cells could be more beneficial.

Lol extra carbonation... Didn't think of that, you might even end up with a kombucha bomb
