Thanks Z, I'll try the closet on half and the oven on half. It sounds like a great idea! Wish me luck. After tonight, I'll just be waiting for the mycelium or the mold, hopefully only the former . . . quote: Originally posted by zillion: peel it back, innoculate then put the tape back over the 4 holes. Also helps if you have a small closet, spray down with lysol wait 10 min. then enter that room too innoculate. The reason for this is, No moving air ! Plus the air is sterlized.later.... -=zillion=-

I'd go for the oven tek as per the Simple Cubensis method. I've had very good success rate with my innoculations. 100% on my 1st go.I would suggest peeling back the tape, innoculating and placing the tape back. rub the needle with rubbing alcohol between each innoculation. After you see signs of mycellium in the jars (4-7 days), then you don't need the tape anymore. remove it.

Sorry about the misunderstanding. I meant I'll try what you said about spraying the closet with lysol for innoculation on half of my jars and do the innoculation on the oven rack on the other half of the jars. Again, sorry for the misunderstanding. BTW- Just went to home depot bought vermiculite and perlite $2.88 per bag/ 22 GAL., rubbermaid box $4.98! Can't wait to get home.
