Dremels/hacksaws/boltcutters were a big aha moment for me. Always thought you needed more special tools to cut metal but nope. Cutting stripped nuts off with a dremel is a lifesaver

Here's a cool electric one for pulling wire through conduit/pipe: You tape a small plastic bag to a long piece of string and put the bag into the end of the conduit so that it blocks airflow in the conduit/lets the vacuum get suction on it. Then you take a shop-vac and put the vacuum hose into the other end of the conduit and suck the bag/string through, leaving plenty of string on the original end of course. Then you just tie/tape all your wires to that string, soap it up so it slides easier and pull the wires back through the conduit with the other end of the string.

Hopefully that makes sense. Was installing some electric stuff last week and thought that was the coolest trick. Otherwise I have no idea how you'd pull 4 bulky wires through a long underground pipe with bends in it. One step closer to getting a proper shower installed. Its been fun learning how to do basic electrical/plumbing; I always perceived them to be complicated things but its really not, at least at basic household level

Easy way to cut perfect circles of any size with a router. Thought that was pretty cool. I'm thinking about building some speakers
