If i hydrated my coir with grain water would i be able to just run it thru my steamer like usual or would it require a pc cycle.

I would guess that it would welcome some more contamination. The great thing about coir is it basically has no nutrients available for mold.
Of course I'm sure you could get it to work, but make sure your working with absolutely pristine spawn.

Yeah coir works because it has no nutrients for contams to feed on. You've essentially added nutrients and taken away that benefit.
You could still get it to work but you're going to need to spawn it in pristine conditions and you'll probably need a clean, nutrient free casing layer to prevent contams from falling into the sub as you mist/fan/harvest.
I would stick with tap water for hydrating from now on. Good luck with them though.

To play devil's advocate, subs like straw and manure can be fairly contaminate prone, but I have seen people have success with them. With grain water coir you would likely need to actually pasteurize. The bucket tek coir prep is not true pasteurization like some seem to believe.

I run all my subs for 12 hours at 206. My tam rates 1/150-200 meowish i was on a good streak for awhile . I no that coir is almost void of nutes ive moved away from spawning tubs to knocking sterile bags and the fruiting after 100% colonization

In that case the steamer should work fine.

I'm sure you know this being a TC, buts more sterilizing than it is pasteurization.

Well aware i hate pasteurizing stuff such a bitch easier to just throw in the steamer and keep sterile.
I have my steamer in a 8x6 homemade cleanroom these all get unloaded into a 8xix6.5 fruiting chamber.

I didn't think of grain bags. Good on you. Should work.
