Cloning from a rotten wild mushroom
    #26509179 - 02/29/20 04:06 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

So basically I received a package from a friend that supposed to have fresh wild mushrooms in it. Apparently 3 days is enough to rot it haha (Im a total newbie in mushroom cultivating and preserving). I tried still to tear myself a piece or two of a tissue sample.

Now my question is would that grow? (Please be gentle hahah I know its stupid to ask but there are no currently avail spore bank of P. Cubes in my country so I still tried)

The tissue is probably fucked, but you could get some spores out of it, then clean them up on agar. Better than nothing.

I'd just try it if I were you. You might be able to pull something from agar and clean it up a little. At worst you've practiced your skills and given it a shot. Good luck.

It might be possible, but it'll definitely be an uphill battle. Try the get as many tissue sample as possible to increase your odds. You can also keep a solution of dilute bleach or distilled water at hand and give each tissue sample a quick dunk to wash of some contaminates before putting it to agar.
