Good effort there, looks like your sorted for a long time. I have spent the last 3 days out looking without any luck, was going to give up, but you have given me a bit of inspiration to try again tomorrow.
Safe travels

zanderman, you will never find them if you are not looking, keep at it and you will get what you want.

Wowzers that is a great harvest and those are great shrooms. I’m very inspired. Almost just want to go hunt now, but it has rained for so many days that I should probably wait a while.

why wait? they will become waterlogged and start rotting if not harvested.

Maybe I just should . It’s just because I went a before and I wasn’t sure they had started to grow more since the last few times I went. There could be some out there

Well I went out again this evening, and despite the mozzies and being charged at by bulls, I did manage to find a couple of cubes. Not much, but it’s a start.

I go every day to every other day, temperatures will determine growth rate. when temperatures reach the high 60's farenheit and above cubensis will go from pins to mature fruit in 24 hrs, but if temperatures are in low 60's down to freezing the growth slows tremendously and size is affected, it can take a several days for a fruit to mature and drop spores.
Something to keep in mind is how much it rains, to much rain will speed up rot, so if several days are forecast for rain I will actually hunt in the rain because water logged fruits will rot faster in the fields.

That’s cool. I’m just about to go again in a couple hours. It just warmed up and it was cold for a few days. no rain anymore but it had been raining on and off days for a couple weeks. Rained some the last time I found some and they were pretty nice. I didn’t mind the rain either.

I went out again to my new favorite mushroom field, low and behold another massive yeild. Has anyone noticed psilocybe cubensis like to grow around milk thistle? There are roughly 20 different cow paddocks and the one feild baring the fruits is almost in the center of all of them and is full of milk thistle plants, another nice thing about the field is that its a breeding ground for monarch butterflies. Its an absolutely magical place and it is unbelievable

That sounds awesome especially that there are Monarch butterflies. What part of the world are you from? I noticed there are a lot of green and purple thistles growing around my hunting grounds lately, but I did not find any today. This was a spot that has had a very high yield for me before. But I just noticed a lot of milk thistles lately. But they are growing everywhere I see thistles growing between the highway median on my way from work in the afternoon too. I might have to go check a different spot later since I didn’t find any yesterday. I’m from the South of the United States.
Note: During summer months when I had the highest yield I also noticed Psilocybe cubensis growing under the shade of small plants

I live in Queensland Australia, the humidity has been like constantly above 75% at the lowest, temps have been well above 25 Degrees Celsius even at night, usually i would hate this weather but i fucking love it at the moment, i have been completely encapsulated by hunting these mushrooms and soon to be cultivating my own. Ontop of that all it just rained last night and this morning so im going to be going out again. Good luck to you man, also ill take a photo of the feild i go to and try to capture its beauty. Also, another pretty cool thing. Absolutely no one in my area has access to magic mushrooms so they are in high demand and every time ive gone to my spot ive gotten around and above a kilo of fresh mushies
