LBMs, cow trail, southern Sierra, CA

Habitat: Wet cow trail along trickling spring, sandy soil with occasional cow patties. Elevation ~ 5000 ft. Ponderosa Pine country.
Gills: broadly to narrowly attached
Stem: thin, brittle, tan, or brown as in second-to-last pic (separate species?)
Cap: 1-3 cm, light tan with dark margin, or dark brown
Spore print color: Black - see last pic
Bruising: black, long after handling.
No distinct odor or taste.

Psathyrella is what I would suggest with those brittle stems and black spore prints Nice find tho

A long shot but I see why you suggested it. 
I was thinking some sort of inactive Panaeolus, or yes, Psathyrella. Surprised that I even found them. CA needs rain!

Sure as hell seems like a possibility but far as I can recall, the cluster was growing out of wet, sandy soil. Certainly not directly on dung. Maybe the shit ran deep? I dunno.

I think different Deconica species grow in many different substrates.

yes, there are terrestrial Deconica species like Deconica montana and coprophilic species like Deconica coprophila.

So do you guys think the dark brown clustered mushroom is a different species than the pale ones? The dark cluster was growing far from trees, in direct sunlight, while the others were under oak and pine shade. For whatever that's worth. Thanks for the responses!

All of your mushrooms are Psathyrella, and they might even be the same Psathyrella. Microscopy would be key to figuring out which one.

I’ve stared intently at a lot of psathyrella this year lol glad I could help And yes we def need the rain bad. Hoping for a wet march
