Standup seems like so much fun but also simultaneously the most scary thing you could ever do. Seems like it would be massively rewarding though if you've got the balls to do it. I definitely don't .

Thats badass man.
How much material do u have thus far? Enough for 30minutes? At one point in time, i was watching a ton of stand-up and starting writing some original stand-up material in journal. My stuff wasnt that great but it was fun to try anyway.

I have a good 15 min and I'm terrifed. I'm not even afraid of people not laughing, I'm afraid of getting stage fright and forgetting to say everything. I've done it before in theatre in high school.

Malcolm Xstasy was doing some standup that was pretty decent, he posted some videos.
A week or two ago I signed back up for this Bell Canada streaming service that has the new Picard show, and someone I went to high school with had her own comedy special on there. And apparently she has written for some different comedy shows on Canadian TV.

Just one.
What's the deal with driving? It's illegal to drive drunk but perfectly ok to drive thinking about the universe.
I was driving to work the other day getting deep into my own head, thinking about how particle physicists are basically just atoms studying themselves, and before I knew it I'm banking a left into my work parking lot. That shit's dangerous. At least when you're drunk you're laser focused on the road trying to drive straight.
Could you imagine getting pulled over for that? "Sir, how much have you had to think this evening?"
It needs some work..

Cool man.
Yeah, bombing a joke is the worst but forgeting your lines is the absolute worst! Im sure u already know but repetition is one of the best ways to remember things. And memory cues such as a index card. Ive heard some comedians pretend to check their phone, but really the phone has a memory cue on it that helps them if they forgot some material.

Thats cool. Do u sell them or use them for personal use?
Theres a guy on Youtube who quit his job and went full-time YouTubing. Hes channel involves building a sailboat from the bottom up! Insane project. My friend from work showed me a clip of his channel. Pretty amazing.

Public speaking is pretty much torture for me but it must be such a good feeling to really kill it as a comedian.
One thing I would like to try sometime is hip-hop karaoke. I'd want to practice a whole ton first though.

I'm actually gonna take some hip hop dance lessons soon. I'm a huge fan of Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura and they have this friendly hip hop dance rivalry going on and I'm totally in. I wanna learn how to dance.

I generally have to be super drunk to dance around anyone.
The one thing I've done on stage that was not too bad for nerves was performing Irish music. Done that a few times in front of fair sized crowds but always with other people. And I guess I was in a student play once in high school that wasn't too bad. My character was supposed to flip out and toss a table and chairs around the stage and I got into the role pretty well I thought. I guess that stuff is easier for me if I don't have to "be myself". In a teaching role I felt like I had to fake something while "being myself" and that is not something I know how to do.
