The mycelium is naturally rhizomorph on most of my strains, I was using a different agar mixture that I didn't realize had a ton of dextrose added to it as it was a pre-made mix.
All mycelium will look like this on plates if you have a high enough nutrient content, I believe

Some updated pictures still trying to figure this out.
I'm still using the heavy nutrient agar which I guess has been known to benefit contams, and also fluffy Mycelium growth.. Just made a few more plates with 1:1 ratio agar to LME, hopefully will tell the tale of what's going on
Confusing to tell if these plates are healthy or not, all my plates have some degree of vertical fluffy growth when viewed from the side, some more tomentose strains show it better
I have made quite a few test plates in front of my flow hood and nothing has grown on them in weeks, so I know the hood isn't the problem. If it is a contam it is coming from bad technique or I'm directly transferring it from my original clean plates, which would make the most sense as it's not popping up anywhere else on the plate

I dunno brother, to me those look healthy.
I'm surprised at the heavy riso growth on high nutrition plates.

I think he switched plates 15 days ago and these are low nute plates.

By the way, you can make your expensive HEPA filter last a lot longer by jerry rigging a cheaper pre-filter on your air intake. Furnace filters work really well. You can cut them up and use duct tape to keep them in place.

I don't because if your in a relatively clean environment like a extra bathroom or closwt I saw someone post that their efficiency improves over time. And if it is on the internet, it's got to be true.

I have exactly the same growth on my plates as you, but for me it's clearly LME and/or low nutes-> tomentose, fluffy, and grain water/high nutes->rhizo. When I lower the nutes in the grain water by diluting it, I can observe how the myc gradually becomes more tomentose.
Grain water/high nutes

LME 2%, low nutes

How much MEA/Dextrose do you use?

The ratio is excessive on the pictured plates, 30% dextrose 30% LME. It makes me wonder if I'm growing bacteria because of the high nutrient content and then transferring it to my oat jars. I just made some new ones with 8g LME to 10g agar ratio to see if anything changes
I'm also new to using oats and don't know how to read them, so that's overall why I'm so concerned.
A couple 5 days into G2G, other jars are all agar to grain
