Hey guys, I’m looking for some help. I’ve had great success with pre made brf bags that I’ve bought online and done in a monotub. I’ve been trying to make my own bags to save on costs but I just can’t get them to colonise. This is what I’ve tried so far with no success 1- 500ml verm mixed with 180ml water, then mixed with 250ml brf Put in bag with 0.2um air vent and no injection port. Heat sealed and pc’d for 2hrs. Let cool Inject with 2ml of culture, straight through bag and into substrate. Taped with micropore tape. Put in tent at 25.5c.
2- 280ml vermiculite mixed with water until a small amount of water flows out when bowls tipped. Mix with 80ml brf. Put in bag with 0.2um air vent and no injection port. Heat sealed and pc’d for 1hr at 15psi. Let cool Inject with 2ml of culture, straight through bag and into substrate. Taped with micropore tape. Put in tent at 25.5c.
3- Soak vermiculite in water for 1/2hr and drain. 20g multigrain flour mixed with 30g brf, then added to 140g soaked vermiculite. Put in bag with 0.2um air vent and no injection port. Heat sealed and pc’d for 1hr at 15psi. Let cool Inject with 2ml of culture, straight through bag and into substrate. Taped with micropore tape. Put in tent at 25.5c.
Ive then done all of the above but steamed for 1.5hrs instead of pc’ing
Have also tried making my own injection port on a bag using rtv silicone on the air vent
All the above has been tested with not a single drop of myc showing after 7days, 10 days on some
Please help!!! Lol

Pics? Buying pre-made spawn is generally a no-no. Why put in all this other effort then leave your spawn up to some rando online?
No colonization usually means either contamination of the spawn or culture.
What tek are you following?

The pre made was a success, it’s the bags I’m trying to do myself that are failing. I don’t see any signs of contam either. They just look exactly the same as what they did when I inoculated 😒 Here’s some pics but not sure they’re gonna help
