Quidding salvia - daily weed smoker

I just obtained 50 g dried salvia leaves with the purpose of quidding. I have tried smoking a mild salvia extract maybe 5 times 20 years ago and had some really interesting results without breaking through. I have read many good things about the quidding method but haven't been able to find out how it combines with smoking cannabis. I consistently smoke a little cannabis every night and I only have the possibility to quid after smoking so I was wondering how it combines?

I have only quidded with fresh leaves, dry leaves have to be rehydrated first then roll ~24 larger leaves into a cigar and chew it in your mouth pressing it against your cheeks.
this is called Buccal absorption -i.e. through the thin cheek tissue.
if you swallow some fluid it is fine, I do not recommend drooling.
What I think is best is if you just mix it 50%50% with your cannabis and smoke it. forget rehydrating and forget quidding - it is a very subtle effect and an annoying method from my point of view. smoking is superior.

IME cannabis mixes excellently with salvia. I almost always smoke/vape some cannabis before chewing/vaping/smoking salvia leaf. I've found that it allows me to use less leaf to get the effects I desire.
For dried leaves, I recommend weighing out a few batches of 1 gram each. Try to get the more full leaves rather than the shake as they will stick together better and be easier to chew. You might also want to remove the stems, but it's not necessary. Cover a batch with water for a few seconds, then squeeze the water out and make a ball of the 1g batch. Have a few ready to go. One gram will easily fit in one cheek.
I suggest starting with one or two of these batches. Chew consistently until it liquifies, which will probably take 5-10 minutes. Swishing the liquid around will help absorption. If after 15 minutes you don't feel anything from the first batch(es), you can spit or swallow the first round and insert more.
You may find you're sensitive and only need a gram (I only need about 800mg), or you may find you need several grams to get to the depth you want.
I also recommend covering your eyes with a mask or beanie as the effects will be easier to notice if they are subtle. Music is great with the cannabis/salvia combination as well.
Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the answers! The reason I want to quid instead of smoking is to ease myself into the experience. I remember from my earlier attempts that smoking the salvia brought on a too abrupt shift in reality that though being interesting also had a dysphoric quality to it. When having smoked a bit of weed before beforehand it produced a very strange effect as if my mind was stuck behind a glass screen in slow motion while the world continued as normal. A bit hard to explain. @physics envy - I will try to follow your guidelines and let you know how it goes. Btw. could you try and explain what you have gotten out of quidding if anything?

dysphoria and disorientation are really strangeness and elsewhereness with salvia. it is more of a place, or a way of bending your mind, than it is a "getting something out of it" type of experience.
if your intention is to get something, you will be disappointed.
if you mix with weed and smoke, and take your time with it you may enjoy the twist

First off, I would say any of the below could also be achieved by smoking lower doses of plain leaf, and you can certainly keep hitting your pipe to stay in the 'zone'. Personally, I don't like the after-effects of smoking, so I tend to either quid or vape. But quidding allows me to just chew it for 10 minutes, then have an hour to work on whatever without having to worry about smoking/vaping more.
Salvia gives one a better perspective of their physical body - a more holistic view from inside. Recreationally, I've used this ability to help learn how to perform Tuvan throat singing and whistling better. I have a better perspective of how my larynx/vocal folds are positioned and working. The salvia also tends to help me tighten the necessary core muscles and adjust the location of my voice box to produce the desired whistle or bass notes.
Physically, it's great for stretching. I've used it to help stretch out a cric in my neck, for example. You can intuitively tell just the right way to twist your body/neck etc. and can be used along with massaging to work out kinks.
Also physically...at low doses (even very low doses) it is a great aphrodisiac...at least for men.
Recreationally, salvia is amazing when paired with music, both listening and playing. And if you enjoy dancing, it is great for that as well (at least once you get your 'salvia-legs').
Mentally, you can contemplate questions. For example, if you're having difficulty making a decision between a few options, thinking about it on salvia will give you a no-nonsense, no-bullshit answer.
Also mentally, you may be able to go back to previous memories, especially childhood ones, to recall situations or try working through events.
Those are some of the ways I use quids.

I'd agree with this portion of RGV's response. I've used the analogy that it's like putting on glasses for your awareness. You can see from a different perspective than when sober. Also similar to how you can see 3D images in those 'magic eye' pictures if you focus at the proper distance.
