Are these grain jars still in good shape?
    #26505201 - 02/26/20 04:55 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

I inoculated 6 grain jars on feb. 1st. I opened my last batch before they were completely done so I want to avoid that this time around.
These are the two I think are ready (they're a little more white in person)

and I was nervous about this one.

Is that water on the side okay? all of the jars are developing condensation around the top and that one has it on the sides as well.

Here are two more photos of the wet one in question. I tried to make a point of drying these grains after the last batch was a little wet, they seem even more so.
my last two are not as far along. how long can a fully colonized jar wait before it needs to be put into the mono?

Top three look good to spawn as long as they’re fully colonized.

Condensation can just mean the air outside your jars is cooler than the air inside since the myc gives off heat.. too much condensation can mean bacterial infection, but you can spawn bacterial jars too.. just might not make it to flushing or only put out 1 or 2 flushes before it contaminated

That mycelium in the first pic of the 2 jars doesn't look super healthy. Have you given them a shake recently?

Mycelium looks good in the last pic, but the grains look wet. You could give it a good shake and see how it recovers. If it's nice and fast, you're good. If it doesn't recover quickly/well my guess would be bacterial contamination.

Do you know if there's a limit to how long fully colonized jars can sit? I have one jar lagging behind the others. How long can I wait on it before the others need to spawn?
