Lions mane -H.E questions!

Hey yaaaaaalllll, what’s cracking fam
So here is the scoop, I have a bag of lions coming my way soon
Was considering putting it in a monotub to reduce spores in my Air (wife is sensitive, and I do love her dearly)... if my holes are big enough with the poly stuffed in them, will I need to be concerned about c02 build up as lions is not tolerant towards it? I guess I could Always just flip the lid Aswell...
Back to what I previously said this is a lions M- H.E With pure organic hard wood saw dust and wheat bran Approx 4 lb bag
Should I just cut this guy open and dump it in my monotub? Previously I was just going to leave it in the bag With the X cuts per instructions given
Once the fruit body is good to go (texture, colour , manes length) I will make a spore print then Petri dish agar away!
Thoughts ???!!
Thanks fam

Just a heads up this question would be better suited for the gourmet and medical section.
BUT I do I experience with this so ill give you my 2 cents. I have fruited a lions mane block in a monotub before. It works OKish, but its definitely not ideal. I had trouble getting enough fresh air in mine and only did the one trial. If that's your only option though, I would give it a shot. You can definitely get fruit from it. I also think you'd be better off just cloning the fruit than getting spores. You may consider setting up a martha with an exhaust fan that pumps outside. That can get rid of the lion's share of spores.

Thank you for the reply going to read the cloning thread now!
From what I can see I believe I’ll Just leave the LM and Not put it in a monotub Or the top will be partially off I guess airflow is key with LM
Sadly my climate is still cold here so no go for outside grow!
Thanks you two for the reply’s

Are you fruiting directly from the bag or plan to spawn it to a bulk substrate in a monotub? If you plan to fruit directly from the bag just cut a couple slits in the side (depending on how many fruits you want vs the size of fruits you want - more holes smaller fruits) and fruit it. As for the monotub as long as you can get a decent air flow through it, it in theory should work, but you might have to have forced air to attain the needed flow rate to remove the co2. I am not too familiar with monotubs and if this is something you do with them anyway.

Fruit from the bag. Just a couple slits on each side. Monotub should be fine crack the lid if it looks stretched. They like to fruit.
