A trip to Jacksonville FL. Anything to do?
    #26503681 - 02/25/20 05:40 PM (3 years, 11 months ago)

I have some work training shit to go to that I am truely intregued by, but I also like the vacation aspect and living the night life personally. I will have all of thursday, friday night, and the first half of sunday free. I saw the MOSH museum and its planetarium. Looks legit. I was thinking about the good news that I have recently got a hold of some Syrian Rue seed, a coffee grinder, and 0 size capsules...

Its an easy plane flying item when encapsulated. I want to take a trip of some kind but nothing more than a g I think. Walk on the beach, eat some good food, gaze at the said planetarium specials. Just enjoy the scenery and free time of a new location.

Besides that, anyone know of any good places to eat, fun spots to check out, bars to drink at in Jacksonville FL? Willing to travel up to 2 hrs one way for food.

The fort at St Augustine just south of there is pretty cool if you like the tourist thing.

Jax Beach/ Neptune area is pretty nice. They have good bars and clubs. I used to see Perpetual Groove there all the time when I lived in Florida. They have a small, but nice hippy scene.

Ginnie Springs is like 1.5 hours away and is fantastic. Best thing in Florida. They have a lazy tube ride with like 5 or 6 springs that you can stop at and swim around.

Besides that there isn't much to do except hit the beach, go fishing, and going drinking.

Also Spirit of Suwanee Music Park could make a nice day trip. It's a pretty spot and they throw some awesome music festivals there too!

Enjoy your trip!

My father was stationed there when I was a kid for a bit and I went there. It was fun. If you like animals I'd say check out the zoo. And whatever that big ass bridge is called is pretty cool as well(well at least from the back of a truck) other than that I'd say just check out the local scene. There is plenty to do

First time to fl myself. From what I gather on google its mostly beach and drinks. But again, the planetarium looks promising as well as other mentions.

Isnt weed recreational in fl? Like I can just walk in a store and buy drugs. Get a free gram of bath salts w every purchase.

Thanks guys ill look into all of these options!

If you'll be there a while head over to St Pete and go to the Dali museum, worth it! St Pete is cool too. If you like seafood, eat it every day! It's awesome and a LOT cheaper in those areas.

The place is awesome.  You would not believe how big some of those paintings are in real life.

Monster Jam

This is in Metropolitan Park. It's a very cool venue and lots of stuff around the area to check out. They have the Maxwell coffee Warehouse down there and the place is huge definitely worth checking out. There are a bunch of businesses around those blocks to the West and you could spend the whole day there.

Check out Lil 5 points in downtown Jville.
Also don't miss the Pier at Jax beach

And watch out, all the people there drive like they own the road.

Also, while in 5 points, as for a lady named sally wearing blue bonnets.

The saying in Florida when I was living there was "Come on vacation and leave on probation." It happens quite a bit. What also seemed to happen a lot was people coming down for vacation and then getting stranded. Like they came down with just enough money to enjoy the weekend and then the car broke down or they spent too much at the bar and then didn't have money to get back home.

If u like military stuff (jet planes, ships, secret aircraft, UFO sightings, etc) theres several military bases there and a Naval Base near the ocean as well.

If u like water parks, Im sure theres at least one waterpark there as well.

Only hope can give rise to the emotion we call despair. But it is nearly impossible for a man to try to live without hope, so I guess that leaves Man no choice but to walk around with despair as his companion.

In the area that Im at, it sure looks like it. Nothin im scared of tho.

I think tomorrow Im going to hit the planetarium and fall thru space, twice. I have 1g of ground syrian rue and 1g caps encapsulated. Then see what food is around and enjoy the area before my class.

There is a monster truck show saturday that I think we will hit for sure and a bar that has some good artists that cover songs.

Still trying to dip my feet in the Atlantic.

Btw its like barely 60° and will be all weekend and thats a bunch of shit. Monday.. 85°
