Great discussion guys:
Really loved this quote:
Quote:
Perhaps there's some barrier that all civilizations cross that unlocks a whole new set of priorities and interstellar travel is the equivalent of board games after you just got an xbox for Christmas
That blew my mind
So heres a little secret guys. The Universe is estimated to be about 13.8 BILLION years old. Not million, BILLION. That is VERY VERY Old. A lot can happen in that amount of time. A lot of Life can happen in that amount of time. What of we are late to the game of life at 13.8 Billion years? Seems pretty likely.
The Galaxy is a huge place, planets orbiting stars across the whole galaxy. Thats a lot of possibilities.

I never said it wasn't possible. I just tend to doubt it I guess. That we've been reached. It's just my opinion. It is a massive universe and I absolutely believe there's almost assuredly advanced life out there. I just lean towards us not being found. And if life is so abundant out there, like some of us believe, why would they need to go out of their way to see us? Are we really that special? I think the thought that, if anything, that advanced alien civilizations are so captivated and fascinated by little ole earth that they just HAVE TO drop by 5 thousand light years out of the way to see us is arrogant.
For all we know we're the Iowa of the universe (with all due respect, I still love
Seems a little dismissive. If we’re honest with ourselves we have no idea what all is taking place on earth. Can only speculate on any agenda/intention of a space being. The potential capabilities of this earth and ourselves.
We have people here smoking bark residue conversing with intelligent beings.. Human minds alone are possibly some sort of portal, and that’s just slightly joking around.
The grand scheme of things is so big that I doubt anyone on this earth has the full grasp of it. Life has this tricky feature to where it makes shit you perceive seem normal, but it’s just a trick. There is nothing normal going on, only people under some sort of sedating spell.
Just as reasonable as them not having reason to be here is the possibility they have critical reasons to be here.
I really like this post dawg. That’s a yes from me Dawg

Now the universe might be 13.8 billion years old but planets didn't form until about 4.6 billion years ago. And as we know our own planet didn't produce life until probably about 3.77 billion years ago and then humans didn't exist until 66 million years ago
I wish we could find out where we are on the bell curve for when intelligent life formed. Like are we early or late compared to other civilizations? It took so much of the universes time to produce us, did it take that long for other beings to exist? I'm sure if life exists elsewhere, there are civilizations that have been around since before life even started on earth.
Also If time travel is possible, which there's some theories that suggest that it could actually be physically possible (very hypothetical at this point), then I don't think it is important to consider timing.
I am also curious, how would unequivocal proof of ET effect our society? Even just some communication from an outside entity would have huge impacts on the way we think. Personally I feel like if we had that knowledge it would encourage us to focus less on our petty human conflicts and direct our energy more into science and tech and becoming interstellar.

Agreed. The universe is so vast and so old that it's almost impossible to believe we're the only ones here

There’s a white ball of light that hangs outside my place. I’ve seen it 4 times now and I don’t know what it is. Not a plane, helicopter, drone, star or whatever else, it’s a ball of white light and it just hangs there not moving. It will not be there one night, next night it will be there, next night it will be gone. It makes no sound, doesn’t move, it’s eerily still. So still it’s weird. It’s not some sort of tower. It just is what it is.

Well I've always believed 100% that we're not alone.
I'm just not sure we've actually been visited.

New ways of thinking would instantly open for people that never think of this as a possibility, chaos, world enlightenment, and people would rebel against all the lies and corruption that those in power have over through intimidation, fear, and mind control.

I think there would be a period of chaos for sure. Probably a more divided society than ever before.
I think there would be a pro advancement and pro isolationism group.
People would claim ET is really satanic or fear malicious intentions and I think everyone else would be forced to accept the new reality and not want to be held back by people's fears.

Lower than your typical helicopter flies. If you’ve ever seen military helicopters in a line going across the sky, lower than that. The first time I saw it I was on a road that I could pretty much get under it (a little off to the side) and I could have hit it with a 7mag if I tried. It’s really odd because it’s obviously there but nobody seems to react to it that I’ve seen, cars just move along. I know there are other people seeing it because I’ve seen other reports of it.

this exactly it was moving at light speed across a field at tree line level across the horizon (I had a good viewing angle as I was driving around)

Probably not light speed though, because it would have been so fast you would never see it.

Yeah I think at light speed you'd be able to literally go around the earth like 7 times in a single second

What I’ve seen never moved but it did give me the thought on how easy it would be on a dark night to slip in, hang out, and slip back out camouflage as a star. The only thing that would give you away is movement, or if you got obviously low but how many people look up long enough to see a quick dropping down or raising up? These things could be dropping in all the time and never be noticed.
I mentioned what I was seeing to my pops and he told me that his dad, my granddad who used to work on “the locks” on the river was working one night and the guys and him saw a white ball of light coming up the river just above tree level also silent and it was “scanning” the river. My grandpap was a pretty no bullshit kinda guy he’s not the type to make up fables so who knows how long silent little balls of light have been dropping down and doing whatever they’re doing.
