Nice one filthy, was time for a new notes compilation. I loved the old RR notes too.
But wait a second 4.5qt of water for the coir + verm? With my bricks and verm, that would be really wet and over field capacity. There must be some inconsistency between residual moisture or something in different brands of bricks ( i am sure this has been discussed before )

I would say try it, do a side by side. What you think is too wet may not be too wet.

The recipie you mentioned (pastys) is simply the standard bucket Tek recipie plus one qt verm & .5qts water. (And I think that's what eat does too) . So two of the best examples we have here say that's their way. Do with that what you will.

If you take those two slight alterations out(-1qt verm/.5qt water) it's the exact same standard bucket Tek thats been working for over a decade, so do I think there's something crazy about it? No.

Thanks for the bumps.

Could be interesting to have one on myco-myths. I've seen lots of people mention that peroxide shouldn't be used and that fanning is a waste of time. But, I haven't seen a compiled list of TC quotes on the topic.

Just an idea, but I also get if you want to restrict this to topics involving preference or benefits.

I really like the idea of having a list of what different TC's have to say on certain topics. It really centralizes the "expert" consensus per say (even though many TC's aren't technically accredited mycologists/experts, they pretty much reflect the expert consensus on the shroomery and I'm sure a lot of them have an abundance of experience with mycology)

Love it! :rockon::rockon:

Sorry filthy, i am dumb and did not notice the extra 1 qt verm and my calculations were wrong.
I for some reason like them slightly on the dry side, but for the sake of science I will be running some side by side grows. Thanks for answering!

Well I don't think you're dumb. I've tried drier because everyone seemed to be saying to do that for a while.

I found it just made me mist more and that the surface conditions aren't as good if I have to mist it versus if the moisture is already there.

But that's me in my conditions. Some people have stupid high RHs that would make me think there's water damage in their house it's so high. I run an AC so that can make a difference, summer to winter, what the conditions are like.

My house is so dry in the winter I have to run tubs a little wetter. Means a smaller first flush but subsequent flushes make up for it. I’d rather avoid misting all together if I can.

I did a quick search, and there are a number of "recommended tek lists" different people/TCs recommend all over the place, but not one formatted like this making a single thread.
