Too many pins? Pic
    #26503244 - 02/25/20 01:52 PM (3 years, 11 months ago)

Hello I have a couple monos using oat spawn and coir/verm. They are pinning like crazy but aborting after a few days. Too many pins? I've been fanning a lot, figure the co2 might be building up because if the number of pins. And also been keeping the moist as they are sucking up a lot of water. What else can I do? Any thoughts?

Have you tried just leaving it alone and seeing what it does?

Your concern was addressed perfectly.

But I’m wondering what kind of filter you use. Is that black MP tape?

Also, congrats!! Looks like you’ll have a real nice pinset.

Leaving them alone and they kept aborting. I started fanning more and seems like they stopped aborting.

The filters are ez felt / peel and stick craft felt. I just started using them on tubs. I've been using them on grain jars instead of polyfil for a couple years. Contamination rate is almost zero and all you have to do is cut / peel / stick. It's like polyfill only ironed flat.
