Printing in a sterile cup

I've searched the forums and couldn't find anyone making prints like this. Has anyone tried it?
1. Take a sterile cup (the ones used for urine samples) and place a mushroom cap at the bottom. 2. Close the cup and leave it alone for a few hours. 3. Remove the cap. The spores should have collected at the bottom. 4. Put the cup away until needed. 5. To make syringes, just fill the cup with sterile water, shake it around a bit, and pull spore solution with a syringe.
Pros: * No need to worry about unsterile foil. * No messing around with inoculation loops (fewer elements = fewer chances of contamination). * Fewer chances of contamination while the spores are depositing, since the cup is simply closed. * Easier to handle prior to making a syringe. For me at least, foils feel too small and fiddly.
Cons: * Cups are more expensive than foil. * You are limited in the size of caps that you can print from. * Not ideal if you want to mail to other people. * You can only make a single set of syringes.
Thoughts?

Foil comes off the roll sterile. Your mushroom caps are not. Not to say you couldn't do what is described in your post; I'm just saying it doesn;t imporove your odds of making a "clean" syringe (no such thing given that caps are exposed to air and thus are full of nasties). I run empty jars in my pc to do "instant" syringes with as you desccribe, just to reduce problems (I only make syringes when I'm bored an in between projects just to have somethinbg to fiddle with, but no reason to go nuts trying to be perfect with something imperfect; just as good as possible.

*It's safe to assume that unrolled foil is sterile enough to *Streaking spores is probably alot eas ier and more effective *it's always risky printing what's been grown in open air, foil can be protected from open air as well * guess it could more comfortable making a syringe that way, but it would be equally easy with other methods that are easier
Too few pros, but thanks for chiming in definitely a decent way of performing that task

The roll I can get is pretty shitty. I wouldn't trust myself to be able to keep it sterile while I tear off a piece. But I really like the idea of sterilizing a normal jar. I think I'll do that next time, thanks!

When I was doing PF Tek, I would print caps in individual ziplocks. When ready, I'd inject sterile water, swish it around then suck it back up. An entirely sterile process except for the filthy cap. :/

I always had the idea to wrap the stem nub in foil too so you can clean that so nothing dirty will touch the foil you’re printing to... can fashion the foil on the nub like a little stand too so one side of the print doesn’t touch the foil like it usually does when printing. Never got around to doing it before I quit growing and actually forgot about it til right now lol
