First grow fruiting in the bag HELP
    #26500433 - 02/23/20 07:38 PM (3 years, 11 months ago)

Been fruiting for 6 days now and still no pinning. How much misting do I need to do to insure the substrate is not too wet or too dry. Is this normal for no pins?

Pinning usually takes 10+ days and you shouldnt need to mist at all before first flush.

So just give in fae everyday and no misting? I ordered a basic grow kit so it has no casing layer. Strain is b+

Anyone else have any suggestions? No misting until first flush?

I like to fruit in bags, I just wait for the pinset to come in (around 12 days from spawn)
then I might poke some holes with a hot nail or something about an 1" or so above sub level. Then just wait till I am ready to harvest, cut the bag down and pull

Does my mycelium look too moist? I’m just wondering if it’s close to pinning or not. Today is day 7 of fruiting conditions

It looks like it may be forming knots in the upper right hand area

IDK about kits, but from the time I mix my colonized grain spawn with the bulk coir substrate, its about 12 days before seeing pins.

If those are knots on your surface, I would venture to guess another 2 days and you'll see some pins

Thanks for the quick response. This is my first time and I don’t know what I’m doing really. I’ve tried to research as much as I could. Do you mist everyday before you see pins? I have no casing layer because I got the most basic kit. So I don’t want it to dry out or be too moist.

Yeah man I don't know much about the kits. I am assuming it was an " all in one"

I don't mist at all prior to 1st flush, I don't use a casing layer either.

Yours almost looks matted from to much misting!

I would seal that bag back up with a binder clip or cloths pin.

Is there any filter on there? If not, I would add some small holes around sub level

Gotcha I will hold off on the misting. I do have a filter patch on my bag which I open once a day for fae and I did mist today I’ll just hold off for the next couple days. Do you water when you start to see pins?
