Favorite grain prep method?

What's up comrades?
I'm currently looking to improve, if possible.. on my current grain prep method. I used to use a 12 hour soak and simmer method before loading and pc'ng... this last run I utilised "foo-mans wbs prep" method skipping the simmer part of the grain prep.
I already have growth in these wbs jars and it was first noticeable on day 9 after m.s syringe inoculation (homemade). The grains do seem slightly dry though...
So anyway... haha, what is your favorite grain prep method? Care to share? I'm looking for tried and true wbs prep methods that insure proper moisture content without compromising the integrity of the grains..
Appreciate ya taking your time and hope ya have a good one!!

Here's a link to a lot of them that's in Bod's sticky (in my sig, the only one resource one)

Great, thanks bro...
Another question I've been wondering about is after soaking my wbs in the preboiled water, when I rinse the grains before letting drip dry I used tap water straight from the tap...
My only concern with this is that my water is treated with chlorine. Could this residual chlorine in the water affect mycellial growth on the grains?? I know even residual chlorine should evaporate, but that takes around three days I believe... which I jar'd and pc'd the grain the same day as prepping.
(Edit: I utilized spring water for my quik soak/boil water.)

I've read that tap water is OK in general many times. So unless your chlorine levels are waaay above normal I wouldn't worry about it.
EDIT: It's late here and while drafting my post I forgot you said treated with chlorine. I would try searching the forums. Read though the tek about searching if you haven't (in my sig) it actually has some really good tips on how to use the search engine.

Grain prep tek.
Drop grains into boiling water take them out when they are ready.
This means when they are soft but before any have exploded, ideally.
This time can be as short as 2 or 3 minutes, or as long as 25. Only way to tell is to check them often.
Grains can vary in qualities that have to do with absorbing water. Sometimes they'll suck it up really quick.

Should be fine most of us use plain old tap water and I think most treated water has chlorine.
