Top grains drying out - What to do?

Okay, i realize, that this question has been asked many times, but there were many different answers, so i don't really know how to proceed.
My situation: A few of my rye spawn jars have probably run out of water... The very top layer of grains, under the GE filter, is not colonized. The jars are a little under a month old, and they basically stalled about a week ago. I know why it happened (hole is too big/dry grain prep), but i need to know what should i do now. Here is the picture of a dry grain near a glass, but the majority of them are in the center.

Suggested solutions i have seen so far:
1- Inject sterile water and shake it. 2- Scoop them/bang them out and spawn the rest. 3- Spawn it like it is. (and dunk the grains) 4- Shake it and let it re-colonize.
What i lean towards is number 4, since this way i could check for contam, but the question is: will the dry grains really colonize? or will i just spread the dried grain among my colonized grain, making it inseparable?
What would be the best way to salvage my spawn?
Thank you, have nice days. -Ombisha

Shake it if you want, then spawn it in a couple days. Those partially covered grains are gonna be fine either way I think.

Shake them and spawn as long as they recover. I get that problem in the winter often. i usually shake 3-4 days before spawning and its fine. I have also dunked them before spawning and injected sterile water into the bag and shook a few hours before spawning too. They all work but Iโll generally only add water if the grains are dry and hard. And Its a sign you should be hydrating your grains a little more.

So you guys recommend shaking them, then waiting until they completely re-colonize? Or shaking them more to do a contam check a once they start growing again, spawning them?
I am worried that the dry grains won't colonize even after shaking and therefore removing them will become impossible.

I used to have this problem because I made the hole large for the filters. Now i just drill a 3/16" hole and don't have this problem anymore.
You can pick the uncolonised grains when you spawn no need to shake and wait

If the jar looks ok I usually just open it and dump the loose ones into the trash before spawning.

Yeah Iโve totally clawed them off the top when I had limited time but I do prefer shaking and waiting for full recolonization to check for contams and be sure the stalling wasnt from something else..

So, are you sure that the dryness would not prevent them from colonizing?
