Very interesting! Its always nice to get a visual aid to put things in perspective....
I find very intriguing the "99% of all species go extinct" marker.. it is completely crazy! How fucked up is that?? 
It is interesting, the huge variety of different plant and moss here in this part of Norway.. all sorts of different stuff going on in the yard... and I was talking to them, and they mentioned that they wanted to spray something so it is only grass... because the moss holds water for a longer period of time... so much for that small ecosystem.

it's sad how quickly the human race has began to destroy this planet, and how we study our history more than our furture survial.
i suppose it would help to understand our history in order to help our future survival?

Makes me wonder how much other life will exist out there down the road. As science searches the stars for other life. We can sit back and wait or we can join the fun and look to the stars. Not only does it amaze me to think of the other possible existances in this entire world. Makes me think of how big this entire world really is. One day there may be space travel. Flying to a different star for vacation would be a treat. Own a house on Pluto. Or perhaps a floating spaceship outside the earth that we can go visit from time to time. Hey if i had loads of money that is what i'd be doing. Building spaceships to travel to entire different galaxies. A rocketeer!

Thanks for sharing that. As as said above, makes me feel very insignificant. We humans have existed a short amount of time compared to the entire existence of the planet.
It's cool to see how things "had" to happen. Pangea had to split up in order for their to be different peoples to speak different languages. There had to be dinosaurs so that we would have oil today for our cars.

but we have to consider how dense the world has gotten in that last millimeter or so. the huge leaps we have made in the last 100 years as far as information and self awareness. as the information flows more freely, the faster things fold in on themselves as we connect the dots.

quite the opposite for me, it makes me feel very special! To exist as me at a time like this, where human beings have existed for such a tiny amount of universal time, makes me feel like a million bucks
