Grain jars colonising at different rates

Hi all,
Aiming to do a monotub v soon, but I have four grain jars and one of them is almost completely colonised whereas the other three are lagging behind.
I was thinking I might do a grain-to-grain transfer from the colonised one into the other three to speed them up. Sound like a good idea?

Don't do that, slow to colonize usually means contams. Can you post pictures?

Unlikely to be contams I think.
I sterilised the jars (rye) a while back and these were all noc-ed with clean agar. I was pretty careful this time.

If you want you could do a G2G transfer but you'd definitely need to use new, sterile grain and jars. As others have said the slow ones are likely contaminated. Adding clean mycelium isn't going to do anything for those jars and you'll likely lose the one good jar you have.
