My P. Galindoi ATL#7 experience.

Many years have passed since I have dabbled with anything other than the usual cube here and there and this was a surprise on how simple it was! P.Galindoi ATL#7, 1 quart spawn per shoe box (early, no stones yet) to 1 quart coco (pc'd, not necessary I know) cased with jiffy mix after full colonization (no consolidation) following some of Stone Suns advice. I keep my shoe boxes in a tote with no holes and fan 3 times a day with a little hand held fan and that's it! It's so insanely simple I was blown away.

I had a jar that I shook and it never really bounced back so I cased it and left it on a shelf with no fanning...
I'll keep updating as they continue their life journey, If anybody has wanted to dabble with them and never got around to it I highly recommend trying! Print giveaway just around the corner
Morning update! 2-23, The caps are definitely filling out, that pin set gives me a bit of a chubby everytime I see it

These 5gal tubs were only 2 for $7 at Bi-Mart so I snagged a handful

I've been waiting for a few weeks for mine to pin. It's colonizing up through my casing and the myc looks happy I think. I fruited at spawn and it's in a jartha with my pans. I've got 5 more quarts colonized but was hoping to learn on this tray first.

Dang, is it producing stones? I have no idea why, but out of the 15 or so quarts I have only 1 is producing stones (that I can see) Yeah I kept mine in "fruiting conditions" throughout colonization and it started throwing pins around 5 days-ish after casing. I have no real experience with Galindoi so I may have just been lucky? It definitely was fast though, beat 2 GT tubs that were spawned 1-1 goin at the same time.

I used the second jar to the right. None of the jars are making Stones that I can see but they are doing something. I spawned that jar at a month old bc it wasn't as nice as the rest. Once I did the tray started making something, idk if they're stones. Here's the tray couple weeks ago.

Whats your RH at? I use a Calibre IV digital hygrometer to make sure my trays stay at 95% rh through the whole process.

I have noticed that sometimes stones will build up on the inside. That was fun rummaging through spawn looking for stones. Maybe it's time to start again. I have some P Tamp Florida on agar now.

The inkbird brings it up to 93% and then evaps down to 79 before cycling back up. It stays damp but evaps enough that it doesn't pool water. Everything I see says keep them damp.

That's my understanding but seems like it's still colonizing it something. I bought one of those infinite cycle timers for running the fan more frequently but I haven't used it yet. Boosted my fae a couple days ago so I'm waiting to see if it responds before I start messing with fans. Update. This is what's happening in the tray.

Ya it is colonizing up through the casing. At first it was only a little bit it keeps growing more dense . This is a quart of wheat berry spawned to hpoo/verm, it was cased at spawn, colonize a week before introducing fruiting conditions. This is my first time trying to fruit atl7 I'm prob messing it up.

The lack of sclerotia is interesting - for both of you. Me too.
Were your jars exposed to light much?
Curious as my Galindoi - 1st try - started creating stones almost immediately at the inoculation points - and at a month out look ready for an impromptu party.
That seems to match what I'd heard about Galindoi.
On the other had that same day I hit 7 or 8 quarts of Rye with Tamps and another set of 1 1/2 Quarts: 3 Tamps and 7 Galindoi.
All of the 1 1/2 Quarts are booming. Tamps a bit behind the Galindoi - but the Tamps in both jar sets is the same dark MS syringe diluted and blasted 3 jars at a time so 3cc from each 10cc pull from the heavily mixed solution.
My "slow quarts" have 4x 1/8" hole with double micropore; the Fast 1.5's have ~ 3/8" hole (I know - huge compared to 4x 1/8") with SFD disc for FAE.
Curious also as what was their goal? Sclerotia with bonus fruiting? fruiting only? Personally I'm heavily interested in only sclerotia. So understanding why can help us all.
So to the OP and others - why perhaps don't they have any sclerotia showing whatsoever (ok, couple small spots) ? More moisture in the grain? less? More Jar FAE? Less?

Thanks mushboy, I've only been doing exotics for a month now. It's fun but idk what I'm doing yet.
I spawned it on the 23rd of last month, it's looked like this for at least a few weeks. I would think if it's trich it would have sporelated by now but idk. It's not moving any faster than a cube would. Gh is 79°, pan jams are just starting to take off. These are side by side.

So you and jcm were right, it's trich. I don't even understand it. This tray has been in the Martha for weeks growing this weird shit and tonight it decides to sporelate. No trich in the jars, no green anywhere this whole time. Well one jar had a tiny spot of trich but I left it alone and whatever is growing in there ate the trich spot. Fuck it, Into the trash with it, sneaky bastard. I've never had trich grow so happily without turning green right away. Now I'm second guessing if I have a bunch of jars of trich that I'm waiting to produce stones. I fruited at spawn on Jan 23rd. There's no green anywhere besides at the top of one of these myc pillars.

It some type of mold, but I don’t think that’s trichoderma...? Maybe I’m wrong but Trich is fast as fuck, and that hue doesn’t look very green, at least not from these pics
