100% colonization?

first monotubs in a few years, i am curious...
when people say 100% colonization are they just referring to the top? some places on the sides/ bottom of the tub havent completely been colonized. but id venture to say i just didnt get the spawn mixed in the coir completely. Thanks for your help

Kind of unnecessary to track if you've set things up decently. Old teks will tell you to keep a tub nearly air tight until 100% then blast with FAE to fruit, but that isn't needed. Throw them into fruiting conditions from the start and they'll just do their thing.
Back in the day though, I always judged it on the top since I used a black liner, per tek, and couldn't see anything else.
Yours definitely look ready

The idea is you want the mushrooms to fight any contams that might make their way into the tub. I've found mycelium grows faster when aerated. Some people say CO2 makes mycelium grow faster, that may be true for cubes, but you need O2 as well, and sealing a tub is a good way to suffocate your shrooms.
But I digress. Those tubs are more than ready to fruit.

Next time just use unmodded tubs, leave the lid unsnapped, and fruit at spawning. You’re overthinking this. Those tubs are about to pin tho.

Looks like it’s about to explode with pins any day now. I use growing conditions (12/12 lighting)from inoculation. When I first started I didn’t start the light cycle until after I spawned my first shoeboxes, in doing so I realized the growth of jars and bags i had still colonizing next to these Sped up. Ever since I run 12/12 lighting all the time now.

Uhh. Any tub tek just flip the lid day one and leave it alone. All teks are basically the same anyway.
Toss ingredients into a box. Put lid on. Mushrooms.

I don’t even flip the lid most times, just leave it unlatched. Just mix spawn with substrate, give it a good most of the coir is a little dry, and set the lid on regular, just unlatched.

If it's any consolation, the trich was likely in the tub to begin with.

I wonder if the myc could have been weakened because I started it in a LC from spores and then had to clean it up from a whole mess of other shit on agar? Maybe it's just become "lazy"? Lol
This of course, could be my ignorance talking

Yeah, when the LC was colonized I let it go a few weeks cause I was being lazy. I only did a few agar xfers, maybe it's possible it's bacterial? I once had bacterial tubs and they looked a little different, never pinned
