i mean i get that, but has anyone had a successful outside grow doing that? i tried to innocculate a buddys field once with a bunch of contaminated jars/ spawn (it was a cow field with active cows and fresh poo and nothing ever happened..

burying contaminated spawn is how i grew my vary first shroom.
circa 04.
toss in the ground/pot. cover with thin layer of dirt. water if dry. wait.

watch out for slugs

sure. i used old potting soil thatd been in a pot for a few seasons but anything should work fine. its just trying to fruit bad spawn if i were making a patch id get manure but not in this case.
i also used the same old dirt and mixed in a spoonful of brf to make a dirt ape cake.

dirt is cool

I wonder if the myc could have been weakened because I started it in a LC from spores and then had to clean it up from a whole mess of other shit on agar? Maybe it's just become "lazy"? Lol

Yeah, when the LC was colonized I let it go a few weeks cause I was being lazy. I only did a few agar xfers, maybe it's possible it's bacterial? I once had bacterial tubs and they looked a little different, never pinned
