I Walked the 2,650 Miles on Psychedelics... And now I've written a book about it! 9

Wow... so I barely even know where to begin.
Back in 2014 I had this idea to quit my job, sell everything I own, and walk from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail while regularly taking psychedelics (specifically psilocybin and DMT). Then, in the spring of 2015 I set out on my way and actually did it.
When I returned home, I spent some time in front of my computer screen and wrote what I called "the longest trip report in history" where I documented many of the trips that took place during those 124 days on trail (here's the link for those who are interested: LINK ). The plan was to someday write a book about the experiences, and I'm overwhelmed with excitement to tell you that after nearly FIVE YEARS of work, I finally have a finished draft that I hope to submit to publishers in the hopefully-not-so-distant-future.
So here's where I am now: I have finished a draft of the book which is about 275 pages long and I'm looking for "beta readers" who would be willing to read the text and give feedback for revisions before I start seeking a literary agent/publisher. I'm looking for both big-picture feedback as well as feedback on the finer details.
If you're someone who likes to read and wants to be involved in this project, either message me on here or shoot me a PM.
--- Oh, and to those who are interested, since finishing my walk of the PCT, I've also walked two more long trails while under the influence of psychedelics (the Colorado Trail [525 miles] and the Continental Divide Trail [Just over 3,000 miles]). I made a long post about my mushroom and LSD trips on the Colorado Trail that you can find HERE, but I have yet to write about the CDT, as I only just finished it a few months ago. Or rather--I wrote A LOT about the CDT which I can link you to if you're interested, but I was not open about my use of psychedelics on that trail, and as such, I haven't posted about it on here before now.
Anyways, thanks for your help and feedback. Love you all.
This community had a lot to do with my inspiration to start doing these long, psychedelic hikes, so thanks to all of you who have followed my journeys and sent your support!

Here I am nervous about going in the relatively small wooded areas around me because I know I'd get lost 2 seconds in to my trip...

I can send you a copy with one of the 10-page chapters deleted.
Seriously though, if you're interested in reading and providing feedback, shoot me a PM with your email address and I can send it to you as a PDF.

I actually tripped alone quite often (and faaaaar more often still while walking the Colorado Trail in 2018).
If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll send you an email copy of the PDF file that I've sent to some others on here.
Thanks for your support!

You can self publish on amazon digitally if you cannot find a publisher.

To all those who have suggested self publication:
I am aware that this is a service offered through Amazon (and countless other companies), but at this time I wish to seek a literary agent and publisher (aka: the traditional route). I am not strictly against self publication, but it is not my first choice. Rather, it's close to my last choice. If I am not able to get a publisher or a contract that meets my desires, then I'll follow the self publication route. But for now I want to take the more traditional approach.
Thank you all for the feedback though.
Oh! And to all of you who have sent me PMs about becoming a beta reader--THANK YOU!!! I have sent out enough copies at this time that I think I'm going to cut it off for this round, go through a bit more revision for the next month or two, and then may seek more beta readers around April or May (most of whom will be closer acquaintances). To those still interested in reading it, please stay tuned, as I'll obviously be posting progress as things go on. And once (if) it does get published, you can be assured that the Shroomery will be amongst the first to hear about it.
Much love my friends! Much love!

It would be a dream to be on something like Rogan one day, but that's a loooooong ways off still. Although I may be in the final stages of writing it, there's still a long way before it ever sees the shelves of B&N or Amazon. But it being a long way away isn't stopping me from chasing the dream! Doing so got me this far, so why not keep it up?

Duncan Trussel is probably doable. I bet if you posted on the /r/duncantrussel he would see it. You don't need a published book to talk about your experience. Not to say you shouldn't pursue all that.

You actually make a REALLY GOOD point there. It's something that I'm going to look into. That said, I would still want to wait and IF I were able to get onto a podcast like that, I'd want to use it to help raise awareness of the book itself and hopefully get it into some peoples' hands.
Thanks for that though--it's seriously something that I'm going to look into when that time comes!
