Looks off.. kind of looks like trich before it sporalates but I wouldn’t toss yet.. could just be regular myc too.. I’d keep an eye on it and see what it looks like in the next few days.. if it’s trich, you’ll know by then

I had a tub that looked similar and I think it was because of extremely low FAE. It gave some fruits but soon turned bacterial. Just my two cents.

I do probably need more air-exchange. My concern over moisture content may be tricking me into that mistake. I have read everything on watering from 2 or 3 times/day to nothing until after the first flush. It is just a learning curve thing, I suppose.

Don't water at all prior 1st flush, only if you see top color starts getting bright brown(very dry coir) what usually should not happen, and if it happens misting very lightly

OK, I mix another tub today. Can you describe your FEA setup? Thank you!

I was going off that unmodified thread and gordotek on YT. I will read the the dialing modified tubs thread for more tips. I was probably high on moisture. I will try to judge moisture as TonyMushrana suggests.

That definitely looks like some green mold inbound. You can wait and see, but if you see green then toss immediately. That much will get bad fast and there's no rescuing it.

Thanks all. I will report back. The cognitive stuff is fascinating... I had 90-95% humidity stuck in my head, causing me to zig, when I should have zagged (there's a parable for that). PPS-Is there a way to get email notification for new thread activity? This site is dense. I am sparse!

I don't think it's trich. Don't toss it yet. Alot of people say it's trich and have probably never grown trich. It's to early to tell. I'm with Fhat could be mycelium, could be a response to bacteria. Or it could be genetic.

OK. So, I wanted it to be easy, but went the hard way. I got to learn agar, and sterilize my own jars of grain, and work inside a Still Air Box. Then mix to bulk substrate.
