Mushrooms accidentally grew in my compost bin

I'm a little new to this whole thing but I've got a couple grows under my belt and quite a few failures. When a grow is done or contaminated I have been tossing the substrate into my compost bucket in my back yard. I figured it would be fine for the garden even if it could no longer grow mushrooms. My compost bucket has all of my leftover kitchen scraps in it and I have continued to add to it since dumping the substrate. Low and behold the last few days I have been amazed to see mushrooms growing in it! I caught the first one a little late as I don't check it every day (until now anyways) and it dropped all of it's spores. It's not many mushrooms, four in total over a few days, but after learning and practicing sterile technique for all of my grows it was surprising to me. I even threw some used coffee in there, which I know quite a few people use for growing, but every time I put it in my compost it goes green pretty quickly. It did turn green and I stirred my compost a bit but I figured if there was terch mold in there it would basically kill any mycelium that remained.
Has anyone else experienced this? Are they safe to eat even if they're growing right next to rotting bananas? Any chance those dropped spores may facilitate further growth in a non-sterile environment?
Note: They are pan-cyans if that makes any difference

I usually dump my spent substrate under some trees, and cover with some dried leafs....always get a few more.

Yes, they are safe to eat if they are growing next to rotting bananas. I also want pics.

Boiling water kills parasite eggs and such, leaving the goodies intact. Cubes outside are life centers and parasites are real.

Now I really regret not taking pics, sorry guys. I didn't notice them for at least a couple days so they were fully matured and starting to look a little mushy on top. I was so excited I picked them immediately washed them and threw them in the dehydrator to keep from rotting. The other one was growing in a flower pot where I dumped everything that wasn't contaminated at the time I threw it out. Afterwards I cased the compost and flower pot in coir figuring it couldn't hurt. If I get anymore I'll definitely take some pics and post them here, though you probably won't be able to see the now very rotten bananas

I used to have a huge pot (for plants) on my balcony, i threw my spent mycelium , substrate, LC, old soil from growing plants, bread and stuff ... it used to fruit here and there in the summer (im not living in the area where cubes grow)

These were actually pan cyans which is why I was so surprised as they are generally thought to be less hearty than the cubes and more fickle. That's also why I added the casing layer because usually they need that. Luckily for me though I'm in their natural habitat I guess that probably makes a big difference. I'm thinking as long as humidity is high, and I water them if it's not, they may continue to produce year round. At least that's what I'm hoping.

IME pans like the gross living outdoor conditions better than the clean regulated conditions indoors.

Ok so I got a few pictures, they aren't super great looking, I wish I had shot the first two.

I think the head of this got destroyed coming up through the fresh compost that was added.

same mushroom laid next to black rotten banana peal for size comparison

this one matured and shot spores all over the wall before I checked it

It was actually super long though I think the top layer was too deep for them to break through

Here the mushroom broke through but ended up with a bruised cap

The cap never actually opened probably due to excessive bruising at least that's my guess

I didn't stop adding compost and this popped up today

However due to terch overgrowth I decided to scrape off the top layer. The terch always comes in the compost, and my indoor grows as well, shortly after adding coffee grounds. I'm actually a bit confused by this because I know a lot of people add coffee and coffee grounds to their substrate material. Not sure if these are actually related but it seems like a consistent correlation in my experience.

After scraping off the top layer I found this little one hiding underneath.

This is the one that was first visible along with one that sadly didn't make it through that top layer. Hopefully now they will have a better chance to grow. Though there are no more banana peels on top for the pictures, there are plenty beneath for additional colonization from the bit of visible substrate on top.

Ink caps, maybe a Coprinellus or Coprinopsis sp.

Yeah going to have to agree on the ink caps or similar species.
I'm sorry OP but I don't see any pan cyans.

Well damn. I was really hoping that they were pans. I really only have experience growing pans, and even then, not too much experience since I'm pretty new to the hobby. I just figured since that was the waste that I threw in the bucket that had to be what they were. I just figured they were distorted somehow because of the compost they were pushing through. The first two that grew actually did look a little different, though maybe it's my wishful thinking that led me to believe they were actually what was planted in the pot. After reading a little on ink caps I guess they're basically poison if you drink so I guess I'll just let them die. Maybe I'll add the terch back in and it'll kill off the mycelium.

Ah man, don't feel bad. Yeah, it is really interesting that they have such effects when combined with alcohol. In my country (basically a giant drinking/mushroom hunting culture) many people died or were hospitalized because of this. So hey, you grew something interesting anyway. I wish you luck on your future grows.
