My tiny garden of ATL#7 pushing up a dozen fruits or so. I’m going to try and print some of these.

That's a gotdamn nice first flush. It took my noob ass years to get a almost full canopy lmao still can't most of the time. I'm definitely improving though. Edit: My pic of the day.
2nd time ever getting a contam from just pouring a petri. I probably need to check the other 3 sleeves and I hope the spores didn't spread to the other dishes in this sleeve I've been in and out of it a couple times today and yesterday. This was like 3rd to last in the sleeve. I specifically remember my hand passing over one dish when I was pouring with a low media bottle. I hope that's the case and I don't have any more contames dishes.

Don't know why it looks black in the pic but I 100% guarantee it's not black mold. Pretty sure it penicillium. Edit: it's green af IRL.

Gizmo when you say in and out of the sleeve, are you taking some dishes out to use and then closing the sleeve on new unpoured dishes? I have a 20 dish sleeve and being a noob, no way am I going to use that many. So I'm hoping I can just pour 10 and close the sleeve back up. Also take an old sleeve to cover the 10 in the SAB for a cool off period. thanks for your time!

Finally getting to the good part with my Malabar saga.
Mutants from a bacterial jar that didn’t make it to the big tub, a healthy shoebox, and my first underbed tote. It’s crazy how much they like the casing it seems like it pretty much ignores the open part.

Mushrooms pin and mature where conditions are favorable. Obviously the cased part of the sub is going to be better at maintaining proper surface conditions so naturally that's where they pin.

Na bud I pour the entire sleeve usually multiple sleeves and use them as needed. I store them back in the sleeve once they cool. Might as well pour them all at once and just use them as you need. It's easier that way but I don't see why it wouldnt work the way you were saying. I'd store the poured ones in ziplock bags or something though. Not bag in the sleeve with unpoured dishes.

I tried to get a better pic for you but my phone doesn't pic up the color very good it's blue green mold on blue agar maybe that's why

Idk if you guys can see the nice clear leading edge. Nice uniform growth. I'm really honing in my mold culturing abilities.

Hey those jars look good. Happy to have you around and welcome
Looks like you only made 2 holes in each lid. How come? All the information I read says you should make 4 holes.
