Mycelium metabolites on substrate? Do I need to change anything?
    #26469111 - 02/04/20 07:28 PM (4 years, 12 days ago)

I am using a shroomsupply grow kit for my 1st grow. I started the misting and fanning/ 12 hour light schedule about 4 days ago. I have noticed small droplets of yellow or Amber liquid, it appears to Mycelium metabolites or "piss" as some call it. Is my substrate too wet? Should I fan more and mist less? It smells great, I just don't know if I should be worried, thanks in advance!

Most likely it is a bacterial contamination. Fruit it anyway, you should get fruits if the conditions are right.

Looks a little wet. Mist less and more FAE and let them do their thing.

yes mist less. the mist needs to leave tiny droplets on top the myc. not pool AT ALL. then it makes metabolites to fight bacteria in standing water.

aim for dew. let the surface dry out

Finally got pins! I did drain a little excess water, and pins came shortly after. Thanks for the help!
