Does Trump know that Sessions recused himself?

Do you know that Sessions recused himself as required by law which states that DOJ employees may not participate in a criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political relationship with any person or organization substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution, or who would be directly affected by the outcome?

I do, but Trump apparently doesn't. Sessions can't end an investigation that he isn't participating in, can he?

It's kind of funny the Jewish media doesn't want to cover this story. This obviously hits too close to home.

What do your mean they don’t cover that story? That was egregious and the left was very up in arms when that happened.

Maybe a few on the left were upset about his comments, but I can't find any coverage by the MSM on it.

Fox News Internal Document Bashes Pro-Trump Fox Regulars for Spreading ‘Disinformation’
Updated Feb. 06, 2020 7:58PM ET / Published Feb. 06, 2020 5:00PM ET
Fox News’ own research team has warned colleagues not to trust some of the network’s top commentators’ claims about Ukraine.

An internal Fox News research briefing book obtained by The Daily Beast openly questions Fox News contributor John Solomon’s credibility, accusing him of playing an “indispensable role” in a Ukrainian “disinformation campaign.”

The document also accuses frequent Fox News guest Rudy Giuliani of amplifying disinformation, as part of an effort to oust former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, and blasts Fox News guests Victoria Toensing and Joe diGenova—both ardent Trump boosters—for “spreading disinformation.”

The 162-page document, entitled “Ukraine, Disinformation, & the Trump Administration,” was created by Fox News senior political affairs specialist Bryan S. Murphy, who produces research from what is known as the network’s Brain Room—a newsroom division of researchers who provide information, data, and topic guides for the network’s programming.

The research brief is especially critical of Solomon, a former opinion columnist at The Hill whose opinion pieces about Ukraine made unsubstantiated claims about its government interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Solomon’s pieces for The Hill fueled Giuliani’s efforts to dig up dirt in Ukraine, which eventually helped lead to President Donald Trump’s impeachment. Trump has also frequently cited Solomon’s questionable reporting on Twitter in his own defense...

Hill reporter who helped Giuliani smear Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch gets scathing rebuke by former employer
Published on February 19, 2020
John Solomon, the former columnist at The Hill whose work helped lead to the ouster of former American ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, was given a scathing rebuke by his former employer this week.

The Hill on Wednesday finally published its review of Solomon’s columns that were part of a coordinated smear campaign against Yovanovitch and found that he failed to make several key disclosures about his sources of information, while also working to muddy the waters of opinion writing and hard news reporting.

Among other things, the review takes Solomon to task for the trust he placed in Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, who made false claims about Yovanovitch giving Ukrainian officials a list of people whom they were supposedly not allowed to prosecute.

“Most notably, Lutsenko’s story has changed repeatedly,” The Hill writes in its review. “In April 2019, he told a Ukrainian newspaper that he himself had reached for pen and paper and asked Ambassador Yovanovitch for the do-not-prosecute list. He altered his comments again, in an interview with The New Yorker in November, when he said that he’d written the list himself, then ripped it up while Yovanovitch looked on.”..

The Hill finds John Solomon 'failed' to identify key details of sources

By KYLE CHENEY  02/19/2020 11:22 AM EST
John Solomon, the former opinion writer at The Hill whose columns were seen as a central part of a smear campaign against former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, failed to identify "important details" about his sources — including that they were under investigation or indictment and were even his attorneys, according to a review of his work by his former colleagues.

In its review of 14 columns, The Hill's news team said serious doubts about the credibility of Solomon's Ukrainian sources were evident even before his interviews with them. Those include, most notably, two former Ukrainian prosecutors — Yuriy Lutsenko and Victor Shokin — who were the principal sources behind unsupported allegations of corruption by former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.

"In certain columns, Solomon failed to identify important details about key Ukrainian sources, including the fact that they had been indicted or were under investigation. In other cases, the sources were his own attorneys," The Hill concluded.

The Hill also raised questions — which it says remain unanswered — about Solomon's relationships with President Donald Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his associate Lev Parnas, who were central figures driving the suggestion of wrongdoing by the Bidens in Ukraine. Though Solomon has claimed he relied on Parnas as a "facilitator" to connect him with sources in Ukraine, Hill staff said the communications uncovered in the House impeachment investigation pointed to deeper ties.

"The true nature and extent of Parnas's role in Solomon's work remain unclear but potentially troubling," they wrote. "While Solomon has insisted that Parnas was simply facilitating contacts or arranging interviews in his native Ukraine, the number of alleged contacts or apparent references to Solomon in emails, text messages and other materials released by Parnas to congressional investigators raises questions about his involvement."

The internal review by The Hill of Solomon's work answers few of the deeper questions about his role in the Ukraine saga. But it underscores the web of contacts that Trump relied on as his eyes and ears in Ukraine, bypassing official State Department channels in order to press the government there to investigate the Bidens, as well as other Democrats based on a debunked conspiracy theory that Ukraine — not Russia — hacked the Democratic Party in 2016...

The Hill's review of John Solomon's columns on Ukraine
By The Hill staff - 02/19/20 09:00 AM EST
On Nov. 18, 2019, The Hill announced it was reviewing John Solomon's opinion columns on Ukraine after State Department diplomats criticized several of those columns during House impeachment hearings.
This review was conducted independently by The Hill’s news staff under the direction of Editor-in-Chief Bob Cusack...

Russia has deployed artillery, mortars, light weapons and missile systems, like the Sa-11 that reportedly shot down a Malaysian airliner in 2015.

Not reportedly shot down an airliner. They did shoot down an airliner. This isn’t disputable . Except by fal because Russia can do nothing wrong.

Not "because Russia can do nothing wrong".  Because it IS, in fact, very highly disputed.

No conclusive evidence Russia behind MH17 downing: Malaysia transport minister (Malaysia is the country whose jet was shot down)

The fact is that the Dutch investigation was highly partial, as it only allowed evidence from Ukrainian sources while rejecting evidence from Russia.

Well, what do you know.  A Dutch court just agreed to allow evidence from Russia.  "On Friday the court accepted a request that investigating judges obtain testimony from more witnesses, to examine other possible scenarios. Those include a theory that the civilian aircraft was shot by mistake or that it was being used as a shield for a military aircraft."

Now koods can cry about how courts aren't supposed to see evidence from all sides, because that's the American way.  :smirk:
