Hey guys ,
Just starting to isolate my B+ , I basically started out with MS and now working my way to a rhizomorph monoculture but planning to perform a LC in the meantime to inoculate few tubs while I work on the process. Just wondering if my tubs are going to be a MS mess if I make LC with these dishes and how many transfers am I looking at to get a decent monoculture - Kindly advise

A2 would ne my pick for LC

A2 would be your best pick for a monoculture.
Just grow it out and use a clone to get a monoculture quicker.

As far as Ive gleaned, a true monoculture takes many, many isolations to get and is rarely done in home cultivation.
I think what most of us here go for is an isolation of a complex of strains that produce well for us, but it's not a monoculture. Even clones from a mushroom is a complex of strains, according to these message boards.

getting a monoculture is easier than most would like to believe. A2 would be a good choice for isolation , A would be my choice to grow out, diversity is key when looking for clones to grow

Hey bro Thanks for your input, So you would suggest to take a clone from every sector on disk A and then isolate each of those disks to monoculture then make LC of each or at least grow out each one to see the one that performs best. Is that a solid plan for this culture?
Thanks for your time

You get agar going.
Once you have clean growth you put that on seeds.
The shrooms that grow will have a large variety of genetics, grab a sexy looking fruit and put a piece on agar.
Now you can make transfers from this clone to achieve a monoculture much quicker.

I would just put some to grain and grow it out, from there take clones and slant them if they perform well.

Why do I keep seeing the word Seeds? Am I missing something over the last 10 years? Are we planting mushrooms now?

Usually I hear it in reference to WBS. Technically oats, rye, and wheat are berries, not seeds, but they contain seeds.
