well, if you pc without any hole, then the jars will explode in your pc... why do you want to do this?

Your question reads like this: Is it ok to introduce contams after pc'ing: No would be the answer

What about the water under the foil dripping into the hole? That better?

got lucky... it is possible that they will explode if you punch a hole through the lid. It is also very possible that they will suck a shitton of air inside once there is an airway... i would suggest just screwing the lids open, then putting your holes in them, then pcing again.

Any water under the foil was pc'd during cycle. Your drill and grimey dick beaters weren't. Take care! Just drill and reprocess the jars.

What kind of lids are you using and for what? If you are doing grain spawn jars you are going to want a filtered hole. Before PCing. Either that or unmodified lids that are either flipped or loose. Canning jars wont explode if pced sealed wtf? They are made for being pced. However after pcing you will now have a jar with a vacuum that will probably lead to contamination once you go to inoculate.

Now whether you are using pf tek, or doing grain jars. I don't think anyone would advise drilling holes after. That is a great way to contam your substrate or grain.
Now you can reduce your risk of contam by using a SAB, take a shower, wash your hands, and use a clean syringe and flame sterilize it... You can pop off the lid and drip some spores or agar in. This would help reduce your risk, BUT keep in mind there are still chances to get foreign media into your jars.
If you have spores to lose go for it, if you don't. Empty your jars and do it right the first try.
Good luck to ya, hopefully this helps.

They said bottom of container. In your case the container is a grain jar.

Cool I knew it would be fine. Jars might get a little cloudy once you shake though no big deal. Well anyways good luck I'll see you on the next question thread.
