Depressed due to medical and carreer issues

I've been going through chronic rhinosinusitis for the past 3 years and it's been fucking with my head a bit. I haven't been able to get back into sports as much as I was before I got sick and I hate it. I can't work anywhere with air conditioning due to allergies and that limits my opportunities quite a bit, since most software jobs are air conditioned offices unless you have more experience than I do.
I'm currently working in the family business, but I'm not passionate about the work and don't really know as much about it as I would like, since my dad never really taught me anything about it (not blaming him). It's a pretty sweet gig, low pressure, flexible hours and the pay isn't bad, but I don't feel like I'm working on something I like or achieving much.
I can show up whenever I want and that ends up being my downfall. I show up at 11 or 12 and don't get much done. Not that there is much for me to do. I just stare at the excel sheet and can´t get anything done. When I do, it's automatizing things that I don't really understand. I'm a fuck up because I'm allowed to, but I also feel like I lack guidance. Maybe it's that I don't want to carry all the blame. I'd like to quit and get another job because I'm not disciplined on my own and having structure would really help.
I feel stuck, but I'm also afraid of change.
I'm getting in contact with a therapist now. Maybe antidepressants would be a good idea, but I've heard of a lot of people having even more issues after they get off them. I'm not nearly as depressed as I was some years ago, when I was in university, but depression feels like a constant. Like it ebbs and flows from my life after puberty. Maybe antidepressants would help, but I don't want to be dependent on even more medication.

Unconventional advice here for the inflammation..but try a carnivorous diet for a few weeks and see if anything changes. I know someone who said this helped them a ton for their inflammation (and it's helped with mine). Also helped with his depression.

I've been considering that too, after hearing it on JRE. I'm gonna try a vegan-only diet for a while first and then see if switching to meat-only is any different or better.
The problem is getting my hands onto good, grass-fed beef. There's no local brands that I'm aware of that are grass fed and imported is very expensive.

I've been doing it on and off for a few years now. When I'm not eating all meat, I'm eating mostly meat with a bunch of greens though. It's pretty great, for me personally, wayyy better than when I was vegan but that only lasted like 5 months maybe. Joe Rogan and Jordan Peterson I think gave it more spotlight than anyone else. And grass-fed is ideal, but it's not like you won't get benefits if you don't get grass-fed. You could always try hunting I can make a deer last a year in the freezer.

Currently I'm mostly eating vegetables and sometimes chicken when I can't get anything else, it's pretty easy to just get beans, veggies, potatoes, etc. at a food stand and eat that, or meat-free tacos or the like. I worry about not getting enough vitamins, but I take a multivitamin.
What's hardest for me is being consistent, but I've got something worked out with my gf where we send each-other pics of what we're going to eat, and if it's not good food we put 10 pesos in a jar that we'll use to buy something for both of us. We've both lost quite a bit of weight like that, I've been wanting to try it for ages, but never had anyone to try it with.

That's an interesting way to do it, if it works it works. But the thing about eating mostly or all animal products is that on one hand, you're obviously limited to the types of food to eat. On the other, once you get accustomed to it most people don't get cravings for junk food and it's much more satiating so it's easier to stay consistent in that regard. And if you're trying to lose weight on top of the rest, I'd say nothing is better than a carnivorous diet. Holds muscle better in a deficit than any other diet because of protein and increased testosterone from the cholesterol, and like Rogan said, energy is level through the day because there's not a bunch of insulin spikes from sugars, which can also attribute to more cravings.
