Rainy day
    #26490857 - 02/17/20 09:21 PM (3 years, 11 months ago)

Found over the past two days and rained some while I was there this day

It had been a while since it rained while I was picking cubes.  It didn’t rain for long though

Nice find. Looks like that's some old well composted dung they're growing from.

Thank you for the reply.  Yeah I see them growing like this in it when it is broken down and the grass has grown up through some and pushed the soil around the pie. Also when you can see a lot of green vegetation around them I remembered during the summer when there was a plant of some kind that was giving some cubes shade from the sun.  They grew very well under a plant in the manure
Is that why the caps on these look som dark do you think from it being well composted?

Here is a more focused picture of the first one with a flash on.  Just wanted to point out what I first noticed prior to cutting the stem that The cap on the right looks nice and fat for a little guy.

I’m going to have to focus better if I want to take some better pictures without the flash

Yeah, makes sense that the vegetation gives them shade and also keeps the humidity higher than
if they were growing in the open. The humidity also gives the cap a slightly darker hue, at least
in younger specimens.
