Using the mycelium of a liquid culture in stead of shrooms or sclerotia

Hi..
I was wondering if any of you happy trippers had ever used just LC to get your mind blown out in stead of getting mushrooms or sclerotia to do the job? What I mean is: seeing as LC is often used to get things started and this consists of mycelium, is it an option to just make a jar of LC, lots of it, and take out the mycelium (after using some of it to spawn a new jar of LC) and dry this and then use it as you would mushrooms: make a powder for filling capsules for instance? If this has not been done already, i will try to get this done and will report back if it is any good.. But if it has been done (I can't imagine to be the first one to come up with the idea🤔), any kind of report would be helpful.
Happy trippin'

This belongs in mush cult, but it could be done. I read years ago, someone talking about how it could be done in bulk.

Fruit bodies have way more actives. Even if you could trip on just the myc I'd imagine youd need a shit load.
One time I was gonna make tea from a cake but then I realized I had pounds of mushrooms so why bother.

I think this should be moved back to what ever thread it came from. This isn't mush cult material.

I do seem to remember reading awhile back that the myc does have the same alkoloids in it, but as for concentrations i think mushboys right, and also the fruit is more desirable in my eyes. Can even get prints to spread around and get others growing! I do know some fungi are cultivated specifically for the mycelium, sounds like youve got an experiment to try bud! I have a feeling though it may not dehydrate well haha theres alot of room for oxidizing compared to fruit bodies so itll probly feel like swallowing a bunch of snot hahaha. Not to mention figuring dosage, you may just blast into the cosmos a few times before you get it downxD Just remember all great advances in science were put down by their peers. Its impossible its stupid yada yada ya

There's been a few posts from ages ago (17 years) about this. I started looking into it since Paul Stamets Lion's Mane are done from mycelium.

Not sure why it never seems to go anywhere. Probably chances of contams or just not much advantage over mushrooms. Monotubs give quite a few flushes befoure going bad probably more mass than the mycelium you would extract.
