You want transfer away from contamination. Trying to remove a contam will result in a bad time.

Remove the mycelium not the contamination. I just want to make sure we are 100% clear. But put the mycelium in a fresh dish, don't throw it away..

Yes, it's a trade off. If you let the contamination grow too large you could lose the whole plate. Or, you could transfer now and perhaps get some really strong monocultures down the line.
