Soaking grains too long

So I didn't want to make a post for this, but Im having trouble figuring out what I should do. I don't have anymore grains and cant get more for a week. I have my WBS soaking in a bucket, and planned to PC today but cant until tomorrow afternoon so theyd be soaking for almost 48 hours. What should I do?
I don't want to let them just sit in the water for that long. Would it be ok to stick them in the fridge until I can PC? Id rather not but Im at not sure what I should do. Maybe rinse with super hot water, and then put them in the fridge... idk

Of course you can put it in the fridge.
You don't want to over soak them though, once they are ready, Id drain the water before putting in fridge.

What kind of grains? Rye berries will begin to sprout after 36 hrs give or take.

It's hard to say... that's a long time. They often go sour when ever I slightly over soaked.. 48 hours... lol dam dude. It's not a paste by now? Lol Dont do any large nocs, the longer it takes to colonize, the more chance the soaked grain will spoil.. Do small amounts in smallest jars you have. Make sure they're really dry before pcing and you can also pc them for an additional hour, or even do a quick low heat bake to ensure dryness then pc for standard time. I pc for 2 hours... Those are just ideas.. be careful when baking, you'll end up with baby popcorn lol I myself would just toss it start over... I dont risk shit anymore.. tired of cleaning tubs that didn't fruit ...

Pick up some Potassium Metabisulfite and you can soak some grains for longer periods. I haven't tried it with WBS, will stop in and get some today and give it a go. I recently did some deer corn for 4 days. They dried perfectly

I’ve left wbs for two or three days before, it was fine I just let it dry for longer.
Now what I’ll do in your situation is drain the bucket and just leave the seeds in there til I’m ready and then mix them up and use them. They’ll stay pretty wet under the top layer of seeds.

Get em spread real thin, like on a detached screen door, and let em sit for about 24hrs. Put some paper towels on em after 2hrs and then let me sit in a room with the doors closed. Shouldn’t matter considering you’ll be sterilizing but better safe than sorry

They sat for 24 hours and then I rinsed them again with super hot water and drained them and put them in the fridge. I’m PCing them tonight. Thoughts on all that?
