Fruiting conditions...my first attempt...

First shot at posting a picture here...
Anywhos, hey guys. This is my first grow. I put the tub into fruiting conditions 5 days ago, I haven't seen much difference. The monotub is 71 degrees and 90% humidity, it's getting what I assume to be adequate fresh air...
Do any of you more experienced growers have any opinions on how my tub looks at this point? Am I on the right track by the looks of it?

Well, you'll most likely get side pins if it does fruit. There's is some discoloration throughout and the one spot on left isn't colonized and that could mean its harboring some contaminates. It can fruit and will but I'm gonna guess it's bacterial.
You may want to take it out of the tray to create more surface area. Try laying it on a metal screen so It can fruit out the bottom to. Then you don't have to worry about side pins an then just use a try liner like a garbage bag next time. As far as first attempts go you did good.

I believe everything is looking good and you should start to see some pins very soon.
Looks like you have some knotting going on.
The yellow is a little disconcerting. Just watch it and keep conditions the same and you should see some activity soon.
I believe that it is almost fully colonized, and the myc will over power any contamination.
Definitely hold on longer 5 days isn't that long. After a few pins arrive if worried about contams, introduce more fresh air. Crack open the lid pull out polyfill or micropore tape.
Air is what it wants, contamination thrive on stale stagnant air.
But Oviodhunter has some good ideas as well. And maybe a touch more experience than myself.
GL and Cheers!!

Great, thanks for the insight. I'll definitely use a tray liner on my second attempt.
I was wondering why that last spot wasn't colonizing...most likely bacteria, ok good to know. The yellowing was also concerning in some spots.
If I do have a bacterial infection...will more fresh air alone be able to cure that?
thanks for the advice!!!

More fae won't cure bacteria just help strengthen the mycelium. May want to reduce humidity and let it dry some to see if it'll colonize or you could take a sterile blade and cut it off at the edge of the uncolonized part. I'm sure a lot of people would tell you to toss it but it should fruit.
