no i definitely had them open lmao but not in the open air, now they're closed (lids on) because i'm going to make more and had to open the sab. I don't have a thermometer so i didn't know if id get condensation so i just left the lids off but i thought about wrapping them so i did get condensation cus i put the lids back on lol i guess i was just experimenting and wanted to see if i could just wrap an arm hole instead of wrapping 20 plates kind of trading convenience for safety had already spent 500 dollars on all this stuff and didnt want to waste seran wrap, just kind of curious i have the lids on and they have condensation but i still feel better lol kind of...im making a new plate though these were my first 3 so i guess if they get contaminated idc but also i couldnt find anywhere if i could just use the lids for ge

While we grow myceleum we are trying to recreate their natural environment, which is to grow underground until myceleum hits fresh air at the top of the dirt, then fruit.
His plates might as well be in open air if my understanding that they are in a sealed SAB without lids on is correct. I think talking about anything else is a band-aid on a bullet wound at this point.

Lol I see, it's good to experiment I think. Anyway I think the main problem with leaving them open would simply be drying out (assuming the inside of the SAB has air that is completely sterile, which it probably does not). Also, I'm not sure how you would be able to place them inside the SAB, considering that you can't stack them and you can't move your hands over them while they are open.
