No growth

I'm either being impatient or I fucked up...
Approx. 13 days ago I placed 6 jars (made via PF TEK) into a dark cupboard in my spare room.
I checked after 1 week (no growth) and I checked today (no growth).
I have 3 concerns:
I had to use a large pot with a lid rather than a PC. I'm worried that through this process I evaporated the moisture in the jars?
I have NO warm spots in my house. I've had to keep the radiator in my spare room on max and I've kept the heating on for about 12 hours per day. At night there is no heat source, though.
I MAY have put slightly less water into my substrate mix than recommended. When I squeezed my mixture I deemed that too much water was dripping out, so I added a little more verm. After I squeezed again I was happier with drippage.
So have I fucked my grow or am I being impatient?

Pics always help, it’s hard to say honestly y without more info on exactly what you did but that does seem a little long for growth to see growth but sometimes it takes forever from me syringe

It took me about 2 weeks to see growth but my house is also super cold most of the time. I’ve read that can slow down germination. My house is always in the low 60s. I used a pot and lid to sterilize my jars as well. I’ve got my cake in the fruiting chamber, only lost one to the mean green. Did you put foil over the lids before you put them in the pot and make sure the pot never ran out of water? You can burn the bottoms of the jars and kill the spores. If you did everything right, I would just wait a bit longer. Also, I’m a noob on my first grow so everything I say is just from what I have read on here. Dont take everything I say as gospel lol

Yeah I used foil over them and I raised the jars with a metal rim and put foil over that too. I also made sure it didn't run out of water.
Thanks for the advice though, I appreciate it.

How are they looking now?
It can definitely take a while to show growth, depending on many factors including the temperature of your space and how you inoculated them. I always inoculate up against the glass so I typically see growth in a few days. But I've inoculated straight down into the center of the cake before and it took weeks to see anything since they were colonizing from the center.
