 Bulk substrate recommendation?

I posted elsewhere that I use the following bulk substrate formula: manure, vermiculite, coir, gypsum, coffee grounds - moistened just enough to drip with moderate squeeze of a fistful. I pasteurize to 140-150 F for 1 hr.
I was told that this is represents outdated info. Will you folks please help me get caught up on the latest substrate TEK?

I just use 100% coir. Works fine for me.

Thanks bodhisatta. The search feature is why I'm so confused!
I think what confuses me most is how manure and coir can both be good substrates. The purpose of manure is nutrients. The purpose of coir is moisture containment. Manure + coir makes sense. Pure coir or coir/vermiculite not so much.
Do they respond equally in multiple flushes?

The purpose of substrate is supplying water. Your spawn has more nutrition than what can be used over 4+ flushes anyway.
Substrate choice for cubes is pretty irrelevant. Use whats cheap and works best for you.
The search is the thing that removes confusion but you have to do the reading too
