It is relevant in how you feel entitled to your concert over helping the less fortunate while simultaneously insisting someone else do the helping simply because they can afford more concerts.

That’s not at all what I said. And, as I said multiple times, I’m not saying any of the money should go to me.

There was a recent study that showed Millennial's are better at saving money than Boomers, but since they make so much less comparatively they have saved less overall.

That said, attempting an argument based on somebodies assumed birth year is pretty fucking weak.

You're a child of the 90s, aren't you?

:awehigh:

Why are you even in this thread saying the shit you're saying if you're just going to do the floppy fish thing whenever you don't have something relevant to say? Herp :manvsfish:

I was the first person after OP in this thread and have been making very particular points ever since. All related, all relevant.

More like particularly out of touch points, and that's saying it nicely.

You could do that without any processed foods or sugar.

USDA is controlled by corporate interests! It is a corp itself!

So you bring up my original question in the thread.

Why do wealthy people have additional moral responsibility placed on their shoulders to help others that is not placed on people with less wealth?

Simply becasue they can, and should, but like I said earlier, money has no morals or conscious, but they made a corp a human entity didn't they?

And it isn't his own morality. It is the moral responsibility projected onto him that I'm asking about. The assumption that he should do certain things only because he has so much.

YES! He should! Because of that fact! Period!

Thanks for asking the question.

Having the ability to help does not mean one should be morally obligated.

Unfortunately, this is the problem right here, and it will not change.

How many times have you passed someone on the street against which your pile of shit is the huge pile? And could you have done more for that person than you did? And should that person with the smaller pile of shit be able to determine the width and breath of your help or kickdowns?

Fak no.

If I have an extra few bucks in my pocket, I do hand it to them, it doesn't do much good, but I do it.

Yes but what if he wants to spend that $50B on creating a space travel agency? Now he cant because you forced him to hand it out to the poor. That would make him worse off right

When Bazos starts caring about the 750,000 people he employs we can start giving a shit about his feelings.

My argument isn't based on anyone's assumed birth year. I guessed the decade feldman was born because of his poor me can't go to the concert comment. That's a teen to twenty something year old comment if I've ever heard one.

Btw, if he used $50b to start a space agency, I would have to stop saying he’s hoarding the money. But he is NOT. Like I said, if he threw a $50b party, that would be fine - it’s the hoarding that shouldn’t be legal.

Most wealthy people don't invest in anything other than very established companies and bonds. That does absolutely nothing to create jobs or economic growth.

Because the very wealthy people have created a labor market that's very favorable for them. It's called diluting that value of labor.

It's almost like giving Wall Street trillions of dollar for free when they make the wrong bets. It's also like giving companies massive tax cuts so they can buy back more of their own shares.  It's called welfare of Wall Street, where is your outrage?

Exactly. Who cares about Bezos when there are people who can't take care of themselves to their own satisfaction? These people need our help and worrying about how Bezos spends his money is 100% pointless.
