Rage Against the Machine Reunion Tour w/ Run the Jewels
    #26483463 - 02/13/20 10:44 AM (4 years, 3 days ago)

Anyone plan on going to this?

RATM is one band I greatly regret not seeing back in the 90's.  Never thought I'd get the chance, but here it is.  I'm gonna try to catch the El Paso show.

Now I am planning on it. Thank you.

Not a fan of big shows like that. This would be cool.

The only Texas show is in El Paso?  Oh well, saw RATM in '93 and saw Run The Jewels in 2014 so I guess I won't be roadtrippin'.

What happened to you that made you greatly regret seeing them back in the 90’s and why promote them now?!?
Doesn’t sound like you’re very big fan

I saw them once with Wu-Tang Clan and Atari Teenage Riot August 12, 1997 at Starwood Amphitheater.

Pretty killer show except that the fascists made us sit in our seats. :facepalm3:

Lol. I just got a ticket, and I'm honestly not that thrilled about it.  $146.50 for shit seats, and an 8 hr drive.  Ugh...but whatever it'll be fun.

There should be no such thing as "seats" at a Rage Against the Machine show.

I know whatcha mean, man.  I'm not happy about this.

Not to mention...the first ticket I was buying timed out as my payment was processing, and I was told find another one.  Which I did, and my checkout ended up being $146.50.  I checked my email, and both of the tickets ended up going through.  I'm gonna try to dispute one of the tickets with the bank, but if that doesn't work I might have to find someone to come with me, and hopefully buy the ticket from me.  Worst show I've ever paid for, and I haven't even gotten there yet.

All proceeds from the first three shows are going to immigrant rights organizations.  Do you hate immigrants?

I saw them at a lolapalooza back in 1992 or 93, I remember them playing somewhat, lol. Shows these days are too much I think. I like that they are giving some proceeds to a cause though. Big bands that are famous and have made it a long time ago, should only charge like 50-100 bucks a ticket, period. greedy fucks! Plus, they should give back to the fans.

Yeah, I caught it in Houston.  To me the best part was Front 242.  What a high energy show they put on!  The Fishbone pit was pretty brutal.  I went with the woman that would soon be my wife.  Before Primus went on, during the "Primus sucks!" chanting, she got the idea to break open a glow necklace and put the glowing fluid in her hair.  Other concert goers took notice and did the same.  It was so surreal during the chanting to look back at the ocean of people and the insane amount of garbage being thrown into the air and a bunch of dudes and chicks screaming because the glowing fluid got into their eyes.

I like their sound but I find if you've heard one song you've heard 'em all.

That's fucking cheap of you. How many people are filling their pockets before that little left over money goes to these organisations?
