Give me some tips on tripping in the middle of the woods
    #26482966 - 02/13/20 12:35 AM (4 years, 4 days ago)

Hello everyone myself am no noob when it comes to eating shrooms but my self and a few friends are planning a trip to go in the middle of no where ( a cabin in the woods) and trip balls. I have a general idea of the steps to take to be safe such as having a baby sitter but I’m curious if anyone here has been there done that and could pass on some general tips to having a very fun but safe trip. Thanks in advance.

Know the woods/surroundings you're going into very well.

My last trip was solstice this past December, and I ended up on the trail/thicket behind where I live. Luckily I'm very familiar with the area! You're not conscious of direction when tripping hard; be careful.

Make sure to bring chapstick with you

This! I've gotten completely, totally, and hopelessly lost while tripping before and it was literally in someone's backyard that I'd been in a million times before. Be careful, especially if you're tripping at night.

Haha thats unfortunate...

Beyond getting physically hurt or lost, just allow yourself to go with the flow & let go (sounds cheesy, but the ego holds onto reality like a croc chomping your dick). If you ever become nervous during the experience try to remember it's all in your head! All my best trips happen in nature, especially away from people and civilisation

Have a great trip!:sunny:

Precisely.

The worst would be to end up in a field, or street, while fully loaded. Shit is dangerous, Shroomies. Be careful and know your surroundings!

I've tripped in the bush with someone once and they kept walking off into the dark. I spent the whole time trying to find her so she didn't hurt herself.
Since then I've added those glow stick bracelets to my trip kit. Get everyone to wear one and it'll be much easier to find someone if they wander off at night.

Otherwise get your camp set up early and make sure you look after each other. For first timers I'd definitely recommend someone staying sober.
Best of luck and have fun.

One person in your group to take a smaller dose so they can be the responsible one if needed. 1.5grams or less.

This! And also if it's safe to do so where you are, have a fire. I've had lots of great group trips around bonfires back in the day. Coals are great for staring at!! Bring some music, snacks & lots of water too. Have a good one! :mushroom2:

I can not stress this enough. And if it is LOTS of woods then you should probably bring a sitter. I grew up in the woods and know it for miles where I live.....and still got lost tripping before :/

Any time I tripped in the woods I either had a camp, didn't wander at all, or had a flashlight and followed a well-maintained trail. I'd always been there before and knew the spot well enough to know it's a good one. Stumbling and hurting yourself is an issue, particularly going off trail. Getting lost in the woods sucks too, even when you're sober. It's a harrowing experience walking through the woods bumping in to trees, not sure if the light you're following is the right one. If you see one at all. All that being said I was always fine, tripping makes me cautious but I've habituated myself to that after many experiences. Its really neat, the feelings the woods brings out. In the dark, with your eyes open, you can see some cool things. Having an environment to interact with is even better. It feels very primal, very..intimate. in a personal way. Like it's one thing to feel alone in your home, but it's another to kind of feel like you have a piece of this little world all to your own. even if only for a little while. A quiet beach at night feels just about the same. I've had some good sitdowns at the sides of rivers too. Now I'm reminiscing.. water and trees have been good friends to me. Clouds. Can't forget clouds :awesomenod:

Don't get eaten by a bear. If you see a bear, smear honey or peanut butter on the babysitter.

I'm with Larry. I love tripping in the out doors. Some precautions that I take are...1) make sure to have adequate supply of drinking water available
          2) Make sure you have layered clothing for changing temps and weather.
          3) If at night, have a safe place where you can keep a fire going and a tent to retreat to with comfortable blankets, sleeping bags and an air mattress. I use this to escape to if the trip starts getting hairy.

These entheogens can warp reality and having a sober sitter can help immensely if things go south.:sunny::peace:

Also depending on where u are this is going to a cold as shit trip.I had a trip at Vasquez Dec 21 2012 and it was freezing so gear up in that regard.  A tent is pretty essential in this particular scenario like THAY said have place to retreat to, smoke some weed calm down for a bit and reemerge when u want. Of course bring tunes water, snack favorite sweet drink like tea or something. Clear all dwonstems and weed bowls before dropping. Bring a furry blanket to warm someone if they get to chilled. There's a treasure trove of knowledge. Really I hate to say it but trips really aren't predictable unless you're a regular so some of those things might be ur holy trail while you forget about the rest of the shit u brought.
