But seriously, do you find your psychedelics use decreasing or increasing your adverse impact on the environment?
A trip on the couch burns a whole lot less gas than a trip to the beach, no suntan lotion eating away at the marine life...
How "green" is your tripping?

I sometimes inhale nitrous oxide while tripping on LSD or mushrooms...
....I kinda feel bad about it because nitrous oxide is a really strong green house gas . The few balloons I have during a trip is no where close to being even a "drop in the bucket" in the grand scheme of things/total amount of green house gasses released, but it's still something that I have feelings about knowing I'm releasing those gasses into our atmosphere.
I do have a relatively tiny carbon footprint in general though (in comparison to the average "westerner"). Mushrooms specifically made me aware of my impact on this planet during some of my first trips years ago. As of the past 2 years I no longer consume meat and I'm making an effort to cut down on the amount of plastic I "use" .
Me not eating meat and trying to cut down on plastic isn't making a big difference at all on the large scale of things...but I have a guilty conscious knowing I'm contributing to the destruction of our planet by continuing to eat animals/give money to the meat industry and cause more plastics to be produced & poured into the eco-systems of our planet.
I try to tread lightly and leave behind as little impact on our planet as possible, but as a "modern" human I still have a path of destruction left behind me . Psychedelics have made me very mindful & conscious of such.

As green as can be. I've been hunting for subs in my local area for six years now and throughout that time I've taken great interest in the sustainability of the local population and the role that fungi play in the ecosystem. I like to think that spreading spores and starting patches has had a positive effect on the local environment.
In the past year or so I've started growing and part of the fun has been trying to get a set up that is entirely reusable and waste free. I've even started looking at using cardboard waste to grow edible varieties. If it goes well I intend to teach the techniques to my girlfriends family so that they can grow more of their own food and reduce their household waste.
I'd imagine that without psychedelics I'd be far less environmentally conscious and less able to change my ways for the better.
On a far more practical level though mushrooms and weed are both tremendously more sustainable than alcohol. Just imagine all of that land, water, fertilizer and pesticide that go into farming grapes and grain for the alcohol industry being converted to weed and mushroom grows. Fuck alcohol, we should all trip and get high to save the planet!
