Roughly how long for spores to germinate? 1

I've made my own rye jars, inoculated 6 days ago with golden teacher spores. This syringe was super clear, not one black cluster which made me a bit paranoid. Mucci spores sent me a video of their agar test plates from each batch which had mycelium on. There isnt any action at all and my temps have been super stable at 26C since inoculation. I would of thought I'd see something by now.

I'm fine with that but how long are jars sterile for ? If it take 2 to 3 weeks for mycelium to grow does contams have more of a chance to take over. If you had a jar with mycelium it's more contam resistant?

I have jars that I made in October that still have nothing growing in them. If your jars are prepared correctly, they shouldn't ever contam.
The contams come from the inoculation process. Use an SAB, practice sterile technique, and inoculate a few extra jars until you know you have sterile technique down.
If you have sloppy sterile technique, then yes, it is entirely possible that contams can take over before your cube spores germinate.

Yeah I was pretty anal with my technique. Showered before starting, worked in a sab, used watered down bleach to wipe everything down before going in, iso wiped jars and all tools, I was wearing a tykev suit ect. I think and hope I got it all right. Also used a bleach saturated towel under the sab.
Also I made my gas exchange hole with 0.2 micron filter patch from my unicorn bags, will that be okay?

I've had signs of growth as soon as day 3 before when innoculating with a spore syringe straight to grain... then I've also had it take 10 days before. Usually within 2 weeks you "should" have growth if conditions are ideal within the jar/bag.
Not to say it won't occur later too tho...

I'll give it to day 10 or 14 and then I'll be getting a new syringe. My temps have been ideal and consistent so I'm a bit frustrated but if I get growth soon I'll be happy. The spore solution has dried but that will still be okay wont it?

Echoing from a TC, if there are no signs of germination at 3 weeks, toss.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't start another effort before that, but I would toss at day 20/21 without worry.
