I asked this before but want to hear it again.
my b+ BRF cakes are in a room " my grow room" and there is a 400 watt HPS
will this light damage the cakes?
also I have a question about my climate im in high desert 4k feet.
my cakes in shot gun chamber just wont do anything i am just going to guess they are getting to dry. I started using a small toat with a turkey bag covering it to hold in the moister.
i guess my question is , have anyone have that problem with climate effecting their shroom fruiting?

Actually, the SGFC was created for growing in dry, high-altitude climates. It won’t work well if you modify the design though.
Bright light won’t harm mushies, but an HPS is the opposite of the spectrum mushies like. They need 6500K or as close to that as you can get. Do you have a vegetative area, maybe with an MH bulb or some blue/white cfls?

Yeah, 5000k will work fine, it’s just not optimal. But, tbh, your grow lights are so much more powerful than what mushies require that full spectrum will work just as well as 6500k,
For context, I used to just leave the ceiling light (16watt cfl) on in the room. I then added 2 10watt LED bulbs (those thin “candle” bulbs) and saw major improvements in my pinsets. Then I added 4 more of the same LEDs and saw 0 difference since. Basically, they only need so much. Too much won’t hurt them but more isn’t necessarily better...
